I did a walk today at Straiton , the first half going uphill was straight into the wind and the sky was so dark , I edged forward taking baby steps but eventually reached the top when I started to descend down the other side of the hill the wind had died down and a beautiful piercing light emerged from the clouds I am quite spiritual so was initially a wee bit emotional . I then reflected that the walk was a metaphor for life and in particular mid life .

If you can withstand the conditions for the first part and no matter the obstacles keep inching forward , providing you don’t return the same way you came the second part the descent should be easier with the strength and resilience built from the first part of the journey . No matter what keep moving forward as best you can .

Ok folks just to say I am now having to move to asking for clients to pay in advance for their appointments . In the last week I have had two no shows and one cancellation 1 hour 45 mins before the appointment . For a therapist an on the day cancellation or a no show costs them money . I pay for the space I use . I print off materials and assessment forms and I allocate time , also I am always very flexible and unlike some people work round my clients as well as give text reminders . However I’ve had too many situations like this recently and now sadly due to selfish behaviour and to ensure that I can keep doing this I need to start to ask people for payment prior to the session .
