Juicy raspberry and sparkling lemon zest open the fragrance before candy floss, rich caramel and soft marshmallow take centre stage.
Then comes the dry down… creamy vanilla bean, smooth tonka bean and soft musk, creating something warm, indulgent and completely addictive.

The fragrance we've been building towards all month has officially arrived.

Inspired by those unforgettable funfair moments, Caramella Dolce captures the sweetness in the air, the glow of the lights and that feeling of pure excitement you never quite forget.

Sweet, addictive and unapologetically gourmand.

Over the last couple of weeks, I've been talking about scent, memory, and sweet fragrances, while fairground imagery has gradually been creeping in.
This is what it's all been leading to: Caramella Dolce.

I wanted to create a perfume that transports you back to those nights at the fair with friends, loved ones, or partners. The music, the fun, the smiles and laughs, and the smell of sweet candy floss in the air around you.

It's about that feeling of being completely caught up in the moment, and how years later, something as simple as a familiar smell can suddenly take you straight back there.

That's what Caramella Dolce is about for me.

Happy memories, the people we shared them with, and the smells that somehow keep those moments alive.

A sweet, mass appealing fragrance for both men and women, with a little sparkle cutting through the richness and keeping the fragrance vibrant rather than overly heavy.

This is often compared to cotton candy, which gives us a natural opportunity to start making the fairground connection more obvious.

Cotton candy is one of those instantly recognisable smells that can bring associations with fairs, childhood, treats and nostalgia.
Sweetness can be playful and nostalgic, warm and comforting, dark and intriguing, or bright and sparkling depending on what surrounds it.

Rannoch 🖤

Some fragrances remind you of a place. Others remind you of a moment.
Rannoch reminds me of pride.

Brian and I created Rannoch together to represent his very successful shaving company as its hero fragrance. And I'll be honest — I felt some serious weight on my shoulders to get that one right.

It needed to be something worthy of representing the brand.
Thankfully, the feedback since then has told us that we did.

And now, whenever I smell Rannoch, that's what comes back to me - the work, the responsibility and, more than anything, pride in what we created.
That's what fascinates me about fragrance.

The memories aren't actually inside the bottle. Our brains create those connections between a smell and what we were experiencing at the time.
So years later, one spray can bring an entire chapter of your life rushing back.
That's the power of scent.

Why can a smell take you back years?

There’s actually a biological reason scent can be so closely tied to memory and emotion. Our sense of smell has a particularly direct connection to the parts of the brain involved in both.

For me, Purple Gourmand is the perfect example.
It was my first original fragrance creation, launched right at the beginning of COVID. I remember questioning whether I should release a new perfume at all. People were worried about their jobs, the future felt incredibly uncertain, and nobody really knew what was coming next.

I decided to launch it anyway.
And it went on to become hugely successful.
Now, whenever I smell Purple Gourmand, I'm taken straight back to that period- the uncertainty, the decision to take the risk and everything that followed.
The bottle doesn't contain those memories.

I've attached them to the scent.
That's the fascinating thing about fragrance. 💜
