Dermal filler myths, busted, by a paramedic injector.

There’s so much misinformation out there, so let’s clear a few things up.

“Filler is permanent.” Most fillers are hyaluronic acid, which breaks down gradually and can be dissolved if ever needed.

“It’ll stretch my skin.” Not in sensible amounts. Problems come from too much, too often, not from filler itself.

“Everyone will be able to tell.” Only if it’s overdone. Done well, it’s subtle and balanced, the kind of result people can’t quite put their finger on.

“It’s the same wherever you go.” Far from it. Your result comes down to your injector’s training, technique and eye, not just the product.

“More equals better.” Almost never. The best results come from balance and restraint, not chasing volume.
