Why don’t you see more before & after photos on my page?

It’s a fair question, particularly when before & after images have become such a familiar part of aesthetics on social media.

The answer is actually quite simple. A significant proportion of the treatments I perform involve prescription only medicines and in the UK these medicines cannot legally be advertised to the public.

That includes social media.

Importantly, the rules go further than simply avoiding the name of the medicine. Before & after photographs showing the results of a prescription only treatment can themselves be considered an efficacy claim effectively advertising what that prescription medicine can achieve.

So, even with a very happy patient and their full consent, you won’t see me posting those results.

You may notice before & after photographs of these treatments elsewhere online. But their prevalence on social media doesn’t necessarily mean that they comply with the law.

For me, good medical aesthetics isn’t just about how a treatment is performed. It’s also about how treatments are prescribed, consented, documented and advertised.

I want my social media to reflect the same standards I bring to the clinic, responsible, evidence-based and patient-centred.

That sometimes means my page isn’t filled with dramatic transformations and I’m comfortable with that.

Good aesthetics should start with a consultation not an advert for a prescription.

Ever wondered about Polynucleotides, aka the salmon s***m facial?

Polynucleotides are an injectable biostimulatory treatment that supports fibroblast activity and tissue repair, promoting collagen and extracellular matrix remodelling.

Unlike traditional hyaluronic acid skin boosters, which primarily improve hydration and skin quality, polynucleotides are designed to stimulate regenerative cellular processes rather than simply delivering hyaluronic acid to the skin.

They’re particularly suited to patients concerned with fine lines, crepey or thinning skin, loss of elasticity and poor skin quality, especially in delicate areas such as the under-eyes, where adding volume may not be desirable.

This before & after shows the improvement that can be achieved with a combination of Sunekos 1200 and Sunekos Performa, helping to improve the appearance of neck laxity, fine lines and crepey skin.
