This lovely client usually has a traditional Lash Lift & Tint, but this time we decided to switch things up and try the Korean Lash Lift & Tint… and WOW, what a result!

She is very lucky to have beautifully long natural lashes already, but the Korean technique has really made the most of them, giving that gorgeous lifted, open-eyed effect while still looking completely natural. 🤍

One of the reasons she loves a Lash Lift & Tint is just how low maintenance it is. No extensions, no daily curling and no need for mascara if you don’t want it… just wake up with lashes that already look this good. 🙌

The last few weeks have been incredibly difficult for me behind the scenes.

My hands have been extremely swollen, cracked, blistered, sore and painful, and at the moment we’re treating it as an allergic reaction to something while I try to work out exactly what is causing it.

There have been days where simply using my hands has been a struggle — which, when your entire job revolves around them, is pretty scary.

But I’ve kept showing up.
I’ve kept doing everything I can to make sure every client who walks through my salon door still receives the same care, attention and experience they always have.

I’ll admit, there have even been moments recently when I’ve wondered whether I can keep doing this at all. 💔

And then I receive a review like this…

The bit that really got me was knowing that my client felt she had my full focus.

Because no matter what is happening outside that treatment room, when you’re in my salon, that time is yours.

My little business means an enormous amount to me. Every appointment, every booking, every recommendation and every lovely review supports me and my little independent salon directly — and I don’t think my clients always realise quite how much that means.

I still can’t quite believe that this was just over a month ago… 🥹✨

One month ago, I found out that Lori’s Beauty Lounge was officially named the 20th Best Home Salon in the UK! 🏆🇬🇧

That means England, Scotland, Wales & Northern Ireland — and to have my little home salon recognised among the very best across the whole of the UK is something I will never, ever take for granted. 🤍

And today, I’ve finally received my official certificate, which will be proudly displayed in the salon. 🥰🏆

Looking at this certificate brings back so many emotions. The excitement, the disbelief, the pride… and most of all, the overwhelming gratitude.

To everyone who has supported me, trusted me, booked with me, recommended me, shared my work, left reviews, encouraged me and cheered me on along the way — thank you from the bottom of my heart. ❤️

This achievement isn’t just a certificate on my wall. It represents years of hard work, dedication, late nights, early mornings, learning, growing, and most importantly, all of the amazing clients who have allowed me to do what I love.
