I haven’t shared one of my ‘Is it normal?’ reels for ages! You might think I have lost my touch, and I can’t have that. So here I am again, and today we are talking about pigmentation.

This is a topic I am asked about ALL the time, and people are often surprised to hear that pigmentation is not always due to sun damage; sometimes it is hormone-related. Aren’t we lucky? 🙄

Let’s dig a little deeper into how we can treat it because brown patches are not a look.

Many treatments are better done during the colder months; microsclerotherapy is one of them.

Microsclerotherapy safely reduces the appearance of thread veins, which occur when capillaries (the smallest blood vessels) become permanently dilated and rupture, spreading blood to other capillaries. When done on the legs, you need to wear compression leggings for 1-2 weeks post-treatment, which is why it’s better timed for autumn/winter, when we usually hide our pins anyway!

This is a great before-and-after of a microsclerotherapy treatment that I carried out earlier in the year. The results were fantastic.

Today I am taking you on a little journey back to where it all started…

Yes, this is me. Young, sprightly and full of enthusiasm for the career ahead. Do I ever look back and regret my choices? Absolutely not.

That enthusiasm I had all those years ago is still here and grows by the day. I know I go on about this a lot, but I love learning, and it’s the nature of my industry, with ever-changing treatment options and legislation remaining a priority…the latter being a little less exciting.

I would love to say ‘I’m proud of my frown lines’ in the last photo, but that’s just not me. They had to go, and they did. Au revoir. Adios. Ciao.

Today, I am sharing something very exciting from my little corner of the internet. Yep, I am getting serious for a minute. I love learning and am a martyr to juggling too many things, but if I am not broadening my industry knowledge, then I get twitchy.

I am currently doing my MSc in aesthetic medicine. Hours of study. Hours of reading and learning. Hours of modules, tests and strong coffee! All while running my business and looking after my family! But is it paying off??

Of course it is. Last week I passed my written research paper with 100% distinction and scored 98% on my final exam for this module, with just one question wrong! I am a perfectionist, but with time, I can just about let that one go 🤭.

I am a nerd, but I genuinely love what I do and appreciate the support from my family, friends and loyal customers. Now, on to the next module…

Aesthetic treatments are popular for many reasons, and everyone has their own goals regarding what they want to achieve.

Lip filler, for example, isn’t just about making lips fuller (although that is a popular request); many clients come to me wanting a more even shape. Maybe they have always had lips that they didn’t love, or the shape has changed with age; there are many reasons.

This lovely lady felt her lips lacked definition and needed balancing due to lost volume. Problem solved, and her lips still look natural.

So many people have a favourite season, but I am here for them all.

Today marks the start of autumn, which means only one thing: pumpkin spiced lattes! Lies. I love them about as much as I love a matcha, which is very little.

Martin also thinks that autumn is my season; something about witches…I have no idea what he means, though.

It’s that time of year again when I harp on about B12 injections. It’s obvious why, though: they are especially good in the autumn/winter months when many of us feel a bit meh (I am talking from experience 🤭). But listen up, they are not exclusively for that time of year. That is a big fat myth. They are a year-round act of self-love!

Vitamin B12 injections can improve our energy levels and calm our nervous system when we hit those winter months. I don’t know about you, but I’ll take all of that, please and thank you.

B12 is a popular treatment at this time of year, and appointments get snapped up fast.

In my personal life, I am usually someone who is 100 miles an hour. I have all the tabs open, and I want to view every single reel that I’m sent in the space of five minutes. Oh, and I love a doom scroll. In the words of Johnny 5, I need ‘more input’ (if you know, you know…).

But when it comes to aesthetics, a slower, steadier approach is required. Trust the process and all that. Achieving dream brows means ensuring the shape is perfect, which can take a lot of mapping out, a steady hand, and a few tweaks here and there. But I know it is time well spent when my clients message me to say that ther their brow game is strong again. Tick.

Big news: I have just added Klarna to my list of payment methods. Yay me. This makes managing your finances a little easier. Self-care without the stress.

I was a bit behind the times with getting this up and running, but I can forgive myself, so I hope you guys can too. Let’s move on; pretty please 😂.

Tell your friends, tell everyone. Not the behind-the-times bit obvs…
