💗 WHY DID HER BROWS TURN PINK?

I wanted to share this because it’s something that can happen after laser removal of semi-permanent eyebrows — and it’s not something everyone realises.

This lovely lady had already had laser treatment on her old brows before coming to me.

After the laser, the pigment had changed and she was left with a noticeable pink/red tone.

So why can this happen?
When removing PMU, the different colours within the original pigment don’t necessarily respond in the same way.
And this is where the laser wavelength and lens matter. 👀
Different laser lenses/wavelengths target different colours. What works on one pigment colour may not be the right approach for another. As certain tones break down, other underlying colours can become more visible, sometimes leaving pink, red, orange or yellow tones behind.

This is exactly why consultation and assessment are a MUST before any removal treatment. You need to know what colour is actually sitting in the skin before deciding which approach is appropriate.

There is no one-size-fits-all when it comes to PMU removal.
