..and just like that it’s all over. The final clear out and the final lock up is done. The last 11 years have been a rollercoaster that’s for sure, but along with the good and bad the salon has been my whole life for such a long time, and it’s been so emotional to say goodbye even although the decision to leave was a positive one ✨

Thank you to everyone for being so lovely and supportive over the last few weeks, it’s made it so much easier. I appreciate it all, and thank you for all of the cards, gifts and well wishes. I will miss all of you that can’t come for the next part of the ride, and am so grateful to all of you that can 🫶 I wouldn’t have got to this point without all of my amazing clients (so many that now feel like friends), my husband, family and friends. All of you fellow business owners know it’s not easy, and it’s usually a team effort. My husband has dragged me through this last few years of feeling so stuck, and I’m excited now we can move forward. Shout out to my mum who was my glamorous receptionist for a while, and has always been admin assistant and generally my PA, and my dad who is my full time joiner, handyman and all round legend. Leaving behind all of his creations has made me so sad. I’ll never be able to thank them enough.

I still can’t believe it’s over, but I’m feeling excited and positive about the future for the first time in a long time, and can’t wait to take you with me ✨

After almost 11 years at 56 Newington Road, I’ve made the decision to close the salon. The last day will be Saturday 27th of March.

The last 11 years have been full of ups and downs, and it’s time to move on to a new chapter of my life and my business. As of mid April I’ll be working temporarily from Modello, 26 High Street, Bonnyrigg, a few days a week, with the long term plan to set up a gorgeous new, tranquil space from home in early 2027.

I want to take this opportunity to thank every single one of my clients that have come through the door not only whilst in Newington, but previous to that in Morningside and Colinton (a LONG time ago). Some of you have been with me for almost 20 years 💕 Even when business has been hard and everything felt like it was against me, I’ve always appreciated you all and every single bit of support you’ve given me. It’s nerve wracking making such a change now, and there are lots of reasons that have contributed to this decision, but I really hope as many of you as possible can come along for this next part of the journey.

All the appointments up until the 21st of March still stand, and I look forward to catching up with you all over the next few weeks and chatting about the future ✨

We did it!

We’re off on our mini moon on the west coast of Scotland this week after our wedding day on Saturday.
