It’s most definitely feeling Autumnal this week! 🍂
And the dip in temperature and the smell of pumpkin spice lattes aren’t the only clues,
your body notices the change too!
The weather changes 🌦️
Our routines change 📅
Training changes 🏋🏼♀️
We spend more time indoors 🪟
And suddenly you might notice you’re feeling a little stiffer, more tired or just not moving quite as freely.
That doesn’t necessarily mean anything is wrong.
Sometimes your body just needs a slightly different approach.
What worked for you in summer might not be exactly what you need this autumn.
So as the nights draw in and the weather gets a little cooler, here is your reminder to;
Keep moving 🤸🏼
Get outside when you can 😎
Make time for recovery 🤩
Prioritise your sleep 💤
And if you need a little helping hand, why not treat yourself to a massage.

Turns out, listening to your own advice is harder than giving it. 🙈
I spend a lot of time telling clients to listen to their bodies, respect recovery and stop trying to battle through when something isn’t right.
So…time to take my own advice. 🙄
I’ve had the MRI. I’ve had the results. And frustratingly, we’re still not completely sure what’s causing the problem.
I’ve rested.
I’ve tried strength work.
I’ve tried mobility.
I’ve changed my training.
And despite really wanting one of those things to be the answer…
it’s still not right. 🤯
So now it’s time to properly scale things back.
Not stop moving. Not give up on my goals. And definitely not spend the next few months feeling sorry for myself.
Just strip things back, work with what my body can tolerate and build from there.
And that’s probably the bit I find hardest.
I like training. I like having an event in the diary. I like pushing myself.💪🏼
But sometimes doing less is actually the sensible way to get back to doing more.
Sometimes you have to listen, adapt, try something different and gradually build back up.
That’s exactly what I’m doing now.
Scaling it back. Building the foundations. And working my way forward from there.
Annoying? Absolutely. 😂
But hopefully a much smarter approach and the route to a long term solution.
And if any of this sounds familiar, maybe it’s time to rethink your approach too.
If you’re constantly battling the same niggles, struggling with recovery or finding that what used to work just isn’t cutting it anymore, let’s have a chat.
And remember, you don’t have to wait until you’re completely sidelined to start making changes.
Drop me a message and let’s talk about what might help you keep doing the things you enjoy. 📩

Fitness looks different for everyone,
but at its heart it’s simply about movement! 🤸🏼
Finding ways to move that make you feel good,
so that in turn your body keeps moving well. 💪🏼
Move. Recover. Repeat. 💥
How are you moving today?

Whether you’re a fan of the ‘ber' months or not, September always feels like a bit of a reset, doesn’t it? 📅
The summer is winding down, the kids are back at school and you finally feel like you can get back to some kind of routine. 😅
And just like the start of the calendar year, September tends to feel like the perfect time to get back into some good habits.
It could be…
🚶🏼♀️ Getting out for a walk,
💧 Drinking a bit more water,
🏋🏼♀️ Getting back to your training,
Or adding a little mobility routine to your day. 🤸
Mobility is one of those things that’s easy to overlook;
but keeping your body moving through a good range of movement can help you feel less stiff, move more comfortably and keep doing the things you enjoy!
It’s also a great way to ensure you continue to feel the benefits of your massage long after you’ve left the treatment room. 🤩
And it doesn’t need to be an hour-long stretching session to make a difference.
Sometimes, just 60 seconds is a great place to start.
Drop the word ‘mobility’ in the comments and I’ll send you the 60 second morning routine I use to make sure I start the day right! 🙌🏻

Hey! 👋🏻
It’s been a little quieter over here recently, but behind the scenes I’ve still been busy.
I’ve been spending some time getting back to what matters;
looking after myself, learning, training and continuing to help my clients feel their best. ☺️
I’ve also been thinking a lot about where I want Debbie Frances Wellbeing to go;
and I’m really excited about what’s coming over the next few months.
More movement.
More mobility.
More recovery.
More realistic wellbeing tips.
And plenty of behind-the-scenes too.
Sometimes taking a little step back gives you the clarity to move forwards. 🤓
Thanks for sticking around;
I can’t wait to share more with you! 🤍

People think I spend my days just giving massages…
But really…
I’m helping people put their socks on without grunting,
making sure they can survive long car journeys,
allowing them to get off the sofa with dignity and
stop accepting aches and pains as “just part of getting older” 😅
And that’s the reason why I love what I do! 🤍
