For anyone who hasn’t come across my little clinic before, I thought I’d introduce myself and tell you a little about the person behind The Skin Edit by Amy. 🤍

I’m Amy, a Registered Nurse with a background in General Practice, now working as an Advanced Clinical Practitioner. I’m educated to Master’s level in Advanced Practice and I’m also an Independent Prescriber, with additional training and a particular interest in dermatology.

My professional development has included RCGP face-to-face training in minor surgery and joint injections, alongside further training in advanced aesthetics and benign skin lesion assessment and removal.

At The Skin Edit, I offer a range of treatments including line-relaxing treatments, bruxism/masseter treatments, hyperhidrosis consultations, benign skin lesion removal, Plasma Pen, skin boosters, polynucleotides and wellness injectables.

For clients considering line-relaxing treatments or benign lesion removal, I have an extensive portfolio of my own work which can be viewed during consultation. Every treatment begins with an individual assessment to discuss suitability, expectations and the most appropriate treatment plan.

My next clinic is Saturday 7th November and is now open for bookings. 🌿

Another very busy day at The Skin Edit by Amy 🤍

A full clinic of skin edits today, from benign lesion removals and multiple skin tag treatments to advanced treatments for bruxism and temporomandibular concerns.

I absolutely love the variety that comes with my clinics and being able to offer a clinical, individualised approach to every treatment.

Before booking a skin lesion removal, ask yourself: does your practitioner have the clinical expertise and dermatology experience to recognise what they’re looking at?

An intradermal naevus, mole, skin tag, cherry angioma, wart and a potentially suspicious lesion can require very different management.

Recognising when NOT to treat is just as important as knowing how to remove a lesion. Clinical expertise means knowing when something is appropriate for treatment — and when it needs further medical assessment or referral.
