For years, I think I measured my own hair loss by how it looked.

Was it really that bad?
Could I still hide it?
Were there women with much worse hair loss than me?
Should I just be grateful for the hair I still had?

We convince ourselves that wigs are for some future version of us when our hair loss has finally become ā€œbad enoughā€ or that they’re only for people who have no hair at all.

But perhaps we’re measuring the wrong thing.

Instead of asking:

ā€œHave I lost enough hair to wear a wig?ā€

Maybe ask:

ā€œHow much of my life am I already giving to my hair?ā€

The checking.
The hiding.
The strategic hairstyles.
Avoiding photographs.
Worrying about the weather.
Wondering whether somebody can see your scalp.
Thinking about your hair far more often than you ever wanted to.

If it’s already affecting your confidence or taking up too much space in your head, that matters.

You don’t have to wait for it to get reach a certain level before you’re allowed to explore something that might make your life easier.

And let’s not forget something else…

Plenty of women wear wigs simply because they WANT to.

For convenience. For more volume. For a new colour. Because they’re fun. Because they bloody well feel like it.

Nobody needs to earn the right to wear a wig through hair loss.

And trying one doesn’t mean committing to wearing wigs forever.

It just gives you another option.

If you’ve been thinking about trying a wig but keep telling yourself your hair loss isn’t ā€œbad enoughā€ yet, you’re exactly the person I want to feel welcome at Loss 2 Lace.

I offer relaxed, no-pressure wig and hair topper consultations in Corby, Northamptonshire, as well as online consultations, and you can also shop my collection of ready-to-ship human hair wigs online. (Toppers officially launching next month)

And if this made you think of someone who’s been waiting until their hair is ā€œbad enoughā€, send this to them. šŸ«¶šŸ»

I’m Sam, the founder of Loss 2 Lace.

I offer beginner-friendly, premium human hair wigs alongside supportive wig consultations from Corby, Northamptonshire, with online consultations also available.

Consultations will always be a huge part of Loss 2 Lace because I wanted to create the kind of space, support and guidance I needed when I first started buying and wearing wigs.

But I also know that not everybody wants or needs a consultation.

You can browse my full collection, view prices and order directly through my website, with over 70 ready-to-ship human hair wigs currently available alongside made-to-order options.

My standard lace-top wigs range from Ā£715 to Ā£1,090 in lengths from 12ā€ to 24ā€ but I also have a collection of shorter pixies and layered bobs priced between Ā£525 and Ā£595.

Hair toppers are officially launching next month, but you can contact me now about a made-to-order piece if you’d like one sooner. I also have a small number available to try before you buy during a consultation.

A few other things you might want to know:

* Free UK delivery
* International delivery available
* VAT relief available to eligible customers
* 12-month excessive-shedding warranty
* Aftercare guide and wig grip included with every wig

Whether you’re ready to buy, want to try before you decide or simply need a safe place to begin your human hair wig journey, you’re very welcome here.

Book a consultation if you’d like some guidance, or shop the collection directly through my website.

If you are thinking of new hair for Christmas, now is the time to start planning.

I’ve actually talked someone out of buying a wig from me.

Not because there was anything wrong with the wig, but because I sensed some hesitation and making a sale will never be more important to me than making sure someone feels comfortable and confident in their decision.

I’m never going to be a pushy salesperson. Partly because that simply isn’t who I am, but also because buying a human hair wig or hair topper can be an incredibly emotional and vulnerable experience.

It can feel emotional, overwhelming and sometimes even frightening.

The last thing you need is someone pressuring you into making a decision you might not be ready to make.

But not being pushy doesn’t mean leaving you without information or support and that support doesn’t always have to look like a consultation.

Some people already know what they’re looking for. Some would rather take their time browsing privately. And for some, the thought of a consultation can simply feel too vulnerable.

That’s why I’ve been working hard to improve the Loss 2 Lace website and make it as informative and reassuring as possible. There are detailed pages explaining our wigs and toppers, along with an extensive FAQ section, which I regularly update as new questions arise, to help you make an informed decision.

I’m also very responsive to messages and emails, so you can still ask questions and receive support from the comfort and privacy of your own home.

I will always encourage a consultation, particularly if this is your first wig or topper - nothing beats it in my opinion. But a consultation isn’t compulsory, and you don’t need my permission to shop.

Whether you would feel most comfortable sitting down with me for some support or quietly choosing your new hair from your sofa, both options are completely valid. šŸ«¶šŸ»

There are lots of brilliant wig businesses in the UK and even more across the world and I’m never going to stand here and tell you that my wigs are better than everybody else’s.

I’m not going to pay someone else to tell you that either.

Are my wigs perfect?

No - because the perfect wig doesn’t exist.

Could one of them be perfect for you?

Maybe. But equally, maybe not.

The right wig depends on your priorities, preferences, lifestyle and what compromises you are or aren’t willing to make.

Take bleached knots, for example. I know my opinion isn’t always popular, but it hasn’t changed.

I’ve handled and worn a lot of human hair wigs over the past two years, including many I bought for myself before Loss 2 Lace existed. I am yet to see bleached knots in person that look quite as flawless as they often appear online.

Up close, I can usually see the tell-tale signs and personally, they aren’t worth the impact on longevity.

But lots of wig wearers love them, and I completely respect that. We don’t all want the same thing from a wig and we shouldn’t have to.

I’m never going to pressure you into buying from me.

I’ll keep sharing what I’ve learned, what I genuinely think and the things I wish I knew at the beginning of my wig journey.

If that helps you choose one of my wigs, I’ll be here.

And if it helps you realise that one of my wigs isn’t right for you, I’ll still be glad I shared it.

If you do feel stuck and would like some honest, no-pressure help, you can contact me to book an online or in-person consultation.

Sometimes, even sending that first message is enough to help you take the next step. šŸ«¶šŸ»

My standard collection of lace top human hair wigs are priced between £715 and £1090 or for an extra £70 you can upgrade to a fully handtied wig.

Today, a lovely lady travelled for four hours and took several trains each way from near Brighton to visit me at Loss 2 Lace. 🄹

We first met online last month, but both felt that an in-person consultation would be invaluable. Finding the right shade of blonde was important, but equally important was finding the right fit - something she had struggled with previously.

I felt genuinely honoured that she placed so much trust in me and made such a huge journey. I was also very relieved that it was worth her while, because she left looking absolutely spectacular in a beautiful piece she felt truly happy and confident in. 🄹

And the funny part?

After trying different pieces, exploring the options and making sure everything was right, she walked away wearing the very same wig she had spotted on my website and originally contacted me about.

It turns out she really did know exactly what she wanted all along - the gorgeous Sammy wig in 16″. And doesn’t she look absolutely fabulous? 🄰

17/09/2026

This European grade wig was a sample I had only recently received. It hadn’t been launched, added to my website or even tried on by another customer - this lady was the very first person to put it on.

And it could not have been more perfect for her.

At just 100% density, it gave her the beautifully natural, lightweight finish she was looking for, while the colour and texture felt incredibly close to her own hair.

I haven’t officially launched European grade hair yet, but I’m currently exploring it further with my manufacturer and I feel these pieces could offer the perfect lower density option for women who want something exceptionally soft and natural looking.

It is also available in 130% density for anyone who prefers a little more fullness, but this 100% piece has really shown me a beautiful option for creating a genuinely natural, lower density finish.

In true Loss 2 Lace fashion, I also want to be completely transparent about the limitations.

Because fewer hairs are knotted into the lace to create that lower density, these pieces are best suited to a centre or slightly off-centre parting. There is less hair knotted into the lace towards the outer sides, so they won’t offer quite the same freedom to move the parting significantly from side to side.

It may not be the right option for everybody but for somebody prioritising low density, it can be absolutely beautiful.

And for the very first person to try this sample, it was meant to be. šŸ«¶šŸ»

If you’ve been searching for the perfect human hair wig, would this 100% density option be something you’d love to see from Loss 2 Lace? Or might you prefer the additional fullness of 130% density?

I’d love to know…

The Loss 2 Lace Headband Wig Collection has now launched on the website.

I’m starting with a small collection of just six pieces- three Classic Headband Wigs and three Luxury Headband Wigs - while I gauge how much interest there is and learn which designs you would like to see more of.

Easy, comfortable and effortlessly wearable, both styles offer an alternative way to enjoy beautiful human hair, but there are a few key differences:

✨ Classic Headband Wigs

The simplicity of a traditional headband wig makes these a quick, easy and low-maintenance option for busy mornings, workouts, holidays or relaxed everyday wear.

There’s no lace to cut and no need to perfect a hairline. Simply pop your wig on, add your favourite headband and you’re ready to go.

✨ Luxury Headband Wigs

These offer a little more versatility, with a 2″ lace parting area at the front for a more natural-looking parting and greater freedom over where you position your headband.

They require a little more preparation than the Classic design, but the headband can be worn over or behind the lace or even removed completely while you’re out and about.

Sitting somewhere between a traditional headband wig and a regular wig, they provide added styling freedom and a natural-looking finish at a more affordable price point than a full wig.

The collection is now available to shop on the Loss 2 Lace website. Which would you choose - Classic or Luxury? šŸ‘€

I’m just here showing up in your feed as a reminder that your human hair wig does not NEED bleached knots to look natural. šŸ«¶šŸ»

You might want them - and that’s absolutely fine - but you don’t need them.

This video was filmed in natural daylight ā˜€ļø and the dark knots on this wig are completely unbleached.

Instead, I’m demonstrating two of the options I often talk about:

✨ Face-framing highlights help to soften and disguise the knots around the hairline.

✨ A little powder foundation along the part line helps disguise the knots and create a more scalp-like appearance.

There are other options too, depending on the wig, hair colour and the look you want to achieve.

Bleaching compromises the strength of both the knots and the lace, so for me, it’s about understanding your options and deciding what matters most to you.

I’ve handled and worn a lot of human hair wigs over the past two years and I am yet to see bleached knots in person that look quite as flawless as they often appear online.

Up close, I can usually see the tell-tale signs and personally, they aren’t worth the impact on longevity and when unbleached knots can look like this I choose longevity every single time.

But lots of wig wearers love them, and I completely respect that. We don’t all want the same thing from a wig and we shouldn’t have to.

Bleached knots are an option, not a requirement.

I’m Sam, founder of Loss 2 Lace - a human hair wig and topper business based in Corby, Northamptonshire. šŸ‘‹šŸ»

You can shop directly through my website, or if you need a little extra support navigating the world of wigs and toppers, I offer both in-person and online consultations.

The wig I’m wearing in this video is Becky.

She’s currently available ready-to-ship in an 18ā€ length, size Small for Ā£875, or, like all of the colours in my collection, Becky can be made to order in your preferred length and cap size.

So whether you already know exactly what you’re looking for or you have absolutely no idea where to start, you’re very welcome here. šŸ«¶šŸ»

I genuinely think wigs should be a more mainstream beauty accessory. šŸ˜

We wear hair extensions to add length and volume.
False lashes to enhance our eyes.
Make-up, jewellery, nails… all because we enjoy how they make us look and feel.

So why are wigs still so often viewed as something you only wear because you have to?

You absolutely do not need hair loss to rock a wig.

Imagine having a special occasion coming up and being able to style your hair days beforehand, then on the day simply pop it on and go. šŸ™ŒšŸ»

No worrying whether your hair will behave. No spending hours getting ready.

A wig can give you instant length, volume, a completely different colour or simply a hairstyle you might struggle to achieve with your own hair.

And the versatility! One day brunette, the next blonde. Long hair today, bob tomorrow. šŸ˜

For women experiencing hair loss, wigs can be incredibly important and sometimes deeply emotional. But that doesn’t mean they only belong in the world of hair loss.

They can also be fun. Fashion. An accessory. Something you wear for a night out, a wedding, a holiday or simply because you fancy looking fabulous that day.

Maybe one day we’ll think nothing of saying:

ā€œI love your hair!ā€
ā€œThanks, it’s a wig.ā€ šŸ«¶šŸ»

At Loss 2 Lace, we offer premium-quality, glueless human hair wigs designed to be beginner-friendly, comfortable and easy to wear. With a beautiful range of colours, lengths and sizes, plus supportive in-person and online wig consultations, we’re here to make finding the right wig feel a little easier. šŸ«¶šŸ»

This wig I’m curling here is Tracy in 18ā€, priced at Ā£875.
