A little step back in time at Lyveden New Bield 🌿🏰

One of the things I love about visiting National Trust places is discovering the stories behind them, and Lyveden was such a fascinating place to explore.

Learning about the history of the building and why it was never completed made the visit even more interesting. I particularly loved being able to step inside the skeleton of the building and imagine what it might have looked like if it had ever been finished.

Be proud of the person you are right now 💗✨

Sometimes we’re so busy thinking about what’s next that we forget to appreciate how far we’ve come.

Maybe life doesn’t look exactly how we imagined it would, and there are still things we’re working towards. But that doesn’t mean we can’t be grateful for where we are right now.

I finally visited Lazy Lobster 🦞 ✨

Such an amazing shop full of all things journalling, scrap books, stationery and fun gifts. They have a ‘Leave a letter for a stranger’ box which I was excited to take part in!

Lewes completely stole my heart with its wonderful mix of independent shops, bookshops, antiques and little hidden gems. We spent the day wandering around, discovering new shops to enjoy 🥰.

Still dreaming about the Calke Abbey Dahlia Garden 🤩

Just wow, was so grateful to see the dahlia’s in full bloom 🫶

Exploring the grounds & gardens at Calke Abbey 🌿🍂

After exploring the house, we headed outside to discover more of what Calke Abbey had to offer. 🌳

There was so much to see as we wandered around the grounds, little details tucked away along the way.🤎

We even discovered a tunnel! 👀
It was very dark… but so cool! 😂 There’s something about stumbling across little hidden features like this that makes exploring National Trust places even more fun. 🌿✨

I enjoyed seeing all the different autumn plants and colours starting to appear. 🍂✨
