✨The highs and lows of acne is a real thing✨ The first picture was my skin yesterday- less than perfect but better than it has been. I had a cystic episode that started around 10 weeks ago roughly and its not yet over yet. What I identified was my routine had become inconsistent and over complex and my gut health was probably one of my major triggers.

I’m still hooked on sugar 😢 that stuff is so addictive I’m down to one cake a day and I’ve stopped giving in to the bed time cravings for chocolate or sweets now.

Skin is your largest organ- it often speaks to you be it diet, damage or hormones. It is a complex journey google dosent have all the answers often they lie with you.

Only now do I see how bad my retinol reactivity was look at that 🚫 (picture 2!). Pic 1 was pre LUMI, pic 2 retinol increase didn’t go low didn’t go slow, pic 3 was a few days after Teoxane skin boosters approx 4 weeks ago and pic 4 is right now tonight.

Here I am x2. I’ve gone for no uniform pink square with the little logo because It just feels unauthentic now. I’ve never realised on this journey that I don’t need people to like me or to like what I do I just need to be me. Here’s me 14 days apart. It’s been ages since I’ve done one of these. In fact life has been so busy with NHS work, study and aesthetics that Instagram has been a relaxing space for me to just scroll through. However I’m back and I’ve decided to just post spontaneously and let it be natural.

My skin journey has been a rollercoaster I can wait to put together the highs and lows but I think I’ve found my ultimate routine. I’ll share it with you very soon.

Rewind to my retinol induced sensitivity. Last week I felt like my face was going to fall off because I didn’t follow the golden rule “GO LOW GO SLOW”. Thankfully this week my skin is on point best it’s felt in a month or two.

I recently upped my vitamin A (retinol) & then decided to increase my Mon/Wed/Fri use to daily thinking my skin would be a touch sensitive but tolerant. I miss judged the whole situation (see pic 2 🤭) I’m back to my normal x3 a week use and I’ll stick at that. I’ve now introduced retinol eye cream and I love it!!
