The Snug

A huge wave of emotions as I closed the door to my snug for the very last time.

For the past two and a half years, this little room has been my happy place. It’s where I’ve welcomed so many amazing people, shared countless conversations, laughs, tears and plenty of catch ups. I’ve watched my little business grow into something I could only have dreamed of, and I’m so proud of everything I’ve achieved.

To every single person who booked an appointment, supported my business, recommended me to friends and family, liked and shared my posts or simply believed in me, thank you. None of this would have been possible without you, and I’ll always be so grateful.

North Devon, this isn’t goodbye, it’s just see you later.

The Snug

I’m honestly so gutted to be writing this…

As part of military life, my family is being relocated to Aldershot. My husband has been promoted which is amazing and I’m so proud of him, but it does mean the end of The Snug in Devon.

I’m absolutely heartbroken. Over the past two and a half years I’ve worked so hard to build this little safe space where I’ve welcomed so many lovely clients.

To every single one of you who has supported me, trusted me and kept me busy, thank you. You’ve made this experience more special than I ever could have imagined. What started as a business quickly became so much more. It’s been a place to relax, chat, laugh, vent and just be yourselves, and that’s something I’m really proud of.

Being part of a transient military family means sometimes life makes these decisions for you, even when you’re not ready, and I’m just not ready to say goodbye to this chapter yet.

I don’t quite know what the future holds as we navigate a new area, new schools and new routines, but watch this space because I don’t plan on being without this for long. If you’ve ever thought about leaving a review on Google or Facebook, it would really help me in my next adventure, whenever that may be.

I’ll be working as normal right up until 2nd July 2026 so we’ve still got time for appointments and a few final Snug catch ups. This isn’t how I imagined things ending, but I’m really proud of everything The Snug has been.
