Not everyone’s lashes will look exactly the same at your infill appointment, this can very dependent upon aftercare, natural growth cycle and medications.
🫧 Bad aftercare is the no.1 cause of lash extension loss. If you don’t clean your lashes daily oil and bacteria will build up on the lash line and break down your adhesive, do you she’s sting when you’re in the shower or pool? That’s bacteria in your eye, clean your lashes! Picking, rubbing, sleeping on your face are also common factors that lead to lash fall out, most people aren’t even aware they’re doing it! Oily face products such as moisturisers and cleansers, don’t put these on the eyelids!
💊 Medications can cause lash extension loss by altering your natural hair growth cycle, weakening individual natural lashes, or changing your skin’s oil production so the glue no longer sticks. Antidepressants, thyroid & hormone medications and GLP-1 weight loss medication are all prime examples which commonly affect lash retention. PLEASE NOTE: Do not abruptly stop taking any medications listed above in order to have extensions, please always seek medical advice before making any changes. This is just for educational purposes and is NOT medical advice.
👁️ Infills are recommended every 2-3 weeks to maintain lash health and extension fullness. It is imperative to remove outgrown extensions to relieve any weight or stress from the natural lash and replace them with a new one. Skipping regular infills will result in inconsistent lash results and going too long can result in lash damage.
If you have any concerns regarding your retention please speak to your lash tech for advice, not everyone is the same and we all have different habits & lifestyles so it is my priority to help you fit your lash extension in to this and maintain top quality always!💋
