Who thinks we need a Halloween special this half term??
No trick here, just the treat!
This half term, between 27th - 29th October, I’m offering 10% discount on 90 minute appointments.
That brings the price down to £58.50 or £63 to include hot stones!
(Terms and conditions apply)

When you go for a massage, how do you know you’re going to get what you want from it?
How do I know how to deliver the treatment you want and deserve?
Well, we talk about it of course!
First things first, I need to make sure I am safe to proceed with your treatment so I’ll ask a few safety questions. Are you on any new medication? Any new injuries? Under a doctor or health care professional for anything? If you’re not sure it’s relevant, just tell me anyway! It’s my job to decide if it’s relevant, not yours.
Then I’ll get to the fun bit! I’ll ask you where you want to feel your massage and equally important- where do you want me to avoid? I will explain there’s always a variety in depth and pace, but what feels right for you today? And that can change each time you come so it’s important to ask the questions every time I see you.
I’ll always recap what we’ve discussed and if you change your mind at any point that’s fine! Even if it’s halfway through and you suddenly decide you want the rest of the treatment doing something totally different - not a problem just….
Let Me Know. This is the most important thing YOU can do to get the most out of YOUR treatment. Unfortunately, I missed the mind reading session (just like I missed the How To Read Doctors Writing during my radiography degree…) so you just need to tell me what you want. It’s that simple!
If we spend a few minutes talking before I let you get on the massage table, we can communicate effectively what the treatment will entail, meaning you can switch off and just enjoy it…
One client makes how much laundry??
One fitted sheet
One flat sheet
One blanket
Four pillowcases
2 foot clothes
Just as well I love doing laundry 😆😆

https://www.theguardian.com/lifeandstyle/ng-interactive/2026/oct/02/feeling-wired-the-truth-about-nervous-system-resets
This is a really interesting article a client has shared with me from The Guardian at the weekend, all about the nervous system.
The nervous system is a powerful part of our bodies, controlling our ‘Fight, Flight or Freeze’ response alongside our ‘Rest and Digest’ mode.
People often talk about Resetting the Nervous System, but as explained in this article, we don’t want to ‘Reset’ but rather ‘Recover’ the system. If we completely reset and calmed the nervous system, our bodies wouldn’t be able to respond to exercise, deadlines, cope with every day life situations…
The article suggests plenty of ways you can help your nervous system to regulate, all things I suggest clients incorporate into day to day life already. Things like exercise, deep breathing, mindfulness, meditation and of course, massage.
Interestingly the articles suggests that light pressure can actually cause more stress in some people which I have seen with some of my clients. A moderate, intentional pressure can provide the safety and security your body needs to let go at that moment. Although that doesn’t mean light pressure is ‘wrong’ if that’s what you prefer.
There’s also some interesting information about acupressure points as well which I use in my menopause massage treatments.
So, take a look at the article and see what you think! Anything in there that you could add into your life to help your nervous system regulate?
Feeling wired? The truth about ‘nervous system resets’ The internet is full of warnings about our ‘dysregulated’ nervous systems. But, experts say, you don’t need to reset yours – you might just need to make it more flexible. Here’s how (and no, you don’t need an acupressure mat)

I started writing an apology at the beginning of this post, but I blooming love Christmas so I deleted it!!
Christmas might seem ages away at the moment, especially with the glorious weather we’ve had this weekend. The reality is though, it will be here before you know.
If you’d like to get ahead, a great way to do that is gift vouchers for something you know will be appreciated. If you know someone who would love an hour or so of relaxation and time to themself, why not consider a voucher?
I’ve got vouchers available for any price point you’d like, and then the receiver can tailor their treatment to suit them. I’ll date the vouchers for Christmas Day so you don’t need to worry about them expiring too quickly!
Feel free to send me a message if you’d like more information on what I offer, or look at my reviews to see what other people are saying!
Are you thinking about booking a massage but wondering if I’m actually any good?
Don’t just take my word for it, check out the reviews on my page and see what other people think!
If you’ve been to see me and haven’t yet, a review can really help a small business like me so I’d really appreciate a kind word or two ❤️

Last week at the end of a treatment, one of my clients said
“All I could think of at the end, was the song ‘Let It Go’ as I visualised letting go of everything’.
Now, if you don’t want to actually hear a Disney song, I have plenty of music to choose from, but doesn’t Letting It Go sound great?
Get in touch if you want a piece of that non Disney action….

How many more times will I get my massage sheets on the line this year?
This time of year especially, I get so excited at this sight!

I’ve had a crafty few weeks!
Some hearts to go to a hospice, mini cactus plants from a kit I got in Texas so will take me back there every time I look at them, gloves requested by Harri (not sure why he wanted odd ones!) and a reindeer puppet for a client who is going to be Mrs Claus this year. Pretty pleased with that one!
