TEN MICROJOBS I DO BEHIND THE SCENES (and with love! 💖) TO PREPARE YOUR ORDERS!
1. I assemble each Tinsel Tech Tool Kit myself - the scissors on a chain are the fiddliest part! ✨



2. I write a personalised thank you to send out with each order ✨



3. I put together each DIY kit from scratch to order, cutting little slits into the corners of each pink bag for the labels to sit in is my least favourite part of this job! 🤦🏾‍♀️✨



4. I tie each bundle of sparkles with a clever constrictor knot which won’t loosen but can be tightened as the pack empties ✨



5. I cut each little bit of wool for tying the Sparkles together ✨



6. I hand write each label for each pack of strands (the busier, the messier! Sorry 😆) ✨



7. I assemble every box, a weirdly satisfying job! ✨



8. I make each little packing-peanut-ended card thingy that I invented 😌 by hand so that your Sparkles arrive as crease-free as possible ✨



9. I cut all the lengths of ribbon to the perfect size for tying your Sparkles into neat little bundles ✨



10. I fold every piece of glittery tissue to the correct size to fit the box, then wrap your order up nicely in the box so it feels all boujee when you open it ✨

‘Sparchaeology’ (no not that 👆🏻) may or may not be a word that myself and a client made up a couple of days ago. We are defining it as ‘the study of residual tinsels on a client’s head, identifying origin date by colour and/or hair growth’. She arrived for her appointment and I commented that she was already looking quite healthy in the sparklage department, to which she cheerily replied ‘oooh yes. The dark blue ones are from Christmas 2024, the turquoise ones are from this time last year - remember I got them for the Cheltenham Jazz Festival - and the pink ones (of which there were MANY) are from Christmas 2025!’
So I had a rummage and a giggle and we agreed that a spot of Sparchaeology was a very entertaining start to her latest appointment!
