SLSA sounds like something a necromancer would cast, but it’s actually the fluffy-foam ingredient in my bath bombs 🫧🎲

It’s a mild surfactant made from fatty acids/fatty alcohols, often from plant oils, and much milder than harsher foaming ingredients.

Basically: SLSA rolled high on bubbles and low on unnecessary aggression.

Bit of a life/business update because apparently moving GeekyClean couldn’t just be straightforward 😅💜

We found a house we thought was going to be the new home for both us and GeekyClean, so I ended the workshop contract, started packing everything up and got ready for the next chapter.

…and then the house fell through. 🫠

By that point the workshop was still ending, so we moved GeekyClean out anyway. Everything is currently squeezed into a temporary setup while we start looking for our new home all over again.

And this part is making me emotional all over again 😭

GeekyClean has actually been on the same little family-run business park since 2014. We moved around the park a few times over the years — through three different units as the business grew — and I’ve been surrounded by so many lovely small businesses and people who became friends along the way.

So leaving feels much bigger than just handing back some keys.

That place watched GeekyClean grow from something tiny into what it is now, through a frankly ridiculous amount of bath bombs, chaos, mistakes, wins, late nights and weird little ideas that somehow became real.

And none of that would have happened without you lot.

So a massive, massive thank you to the Bath Bomb Badasses 💜 I genuinely couldn’t have built any of this without you supporting my strange little business for all these years.

I cried making this video.

But GeekyClean isn’t going anywhere. The bathhouse is just between homes for a bit.

Business as usual-ish, orders are still going out, I’m still making things, and I’ll still see you at MCM London Comic Con in October 🎲🛁✨
Exciting things are being planned so watch this space👀
Hopefully the next chapter is a new home, a new GeekyClean HQ and considerably less moving boxes.

Bathhouse update💜
I’m currently moving out of the workshop and setting up GeekyClean into a smaller workspace, and between the move and my health being a bit rubbish, dispatch may be a little slower for a short while.

Orders are still going out, but things might take a bit longer while I pack, move, reorganise and rebuild the tiny bathhouse setup.
Thank you so much for your patience and for supporting small businesses while real life is very much happening behind the scenes.

A little update for my EU adventurers 💜

I’ve had to make the really difficult decision to pause EU shipping for now. The additional admin and costs involved in meeting new requirements just aren’t realistic for a tiny business like GeekyClean with the number of EU orders I currently receive.

I hate having to make the shop smaller rather than more accessible, especially when so many of you have ordered from me over the years. I’m really hoping this is a temporary pause and that a sensible, affordable solution for small businesses becomes available.
