Owning a salon over the last few years has taught me something…
I’ve realised the best salons aren’t built because they’ve got the nicest furniture or the latest equipment. They’re built by the people who walk through the door every morning.
That’s why I’ve never wanted to fill chairs just for the sake of it.
I’d much rather wait for the right stylist than fill a chair just because it’s empty. Not every salon is the right fit for every stylist, and that’s okay. But when you find the right one, it makes all the difference.
One of the things I’m most proud of is the team we’ve built at JC Hair Design, and I honestly feel lucky to work alongside them every day. Every single person brings something different, but they all have one thing in common. They genuinely care about their clients, they’re always there for each other, and there’s no competition here. Everyone supports each other, and I think that’s what makes this place what it is.
So if you’re looking for somewhere you can do your best work, somewhere your clients enjoy coming just as much as you do, and somewhere you actually look forward to coming to work, I’d love to meet you.

We spent quite a while taking the babe blonde, but this time she was keen for a big change!
We kept the brightness through the front and added more depth through the rest and I absolutely Loved the result!!!

The salon turns 3! ❤️🥂
Three years ago I opened the salon doors and honestly, I can’t believe how quickly the time has gone.
It’s been hard work, rewarding, stressful, exciting, full of laughter, a few tears, challenges, achievements, new faces and loyal clients who have been with us from the very beginning.
One of the things I’m most proud of is the team we’ve built. We genuinely enjoy working together and creating a space that feels welcoming, supportive and somewhere people love to spend their time.
To all of our clients, thank you for choosing us, recommending us, supporting us and helping us grow over the last three years. We never take it for granted.
There are still so many years ahead and I’m excited to see what the future has in store for JC Hair Design.

Seventeen years!
When someone has trusted you with their hair for 17 years, it’s about so much more than colour and cuts.
It’s the relationship, the consistency and the feeling of knowing you’re in safe hands every time.
Reviews like this remind me exactly why I built JC Hair Design the way I did.
A calm, welcoming space where clients love coming for their appointments and where stylists can do their best work.

Absolutely loved doing this transformation. This was our third session together taking her from multiple layers of home colour, including black box dye, to blonde and we’ve finally made it here!
You’ll see at the start of the video that the hair still had a warm coppery/golden tone before today’s appointment and this is completely normal when lifting out years of darker colour. Removing home colour safely is a process and rushing it usually leads to unnecessary damage and breakage.
Every session we’ve focused on lifting carefully, protecting the condition of the hair and keeping the integrity there the whole way through using the right products, treatments and good aftercare at home. Slow and steady will always win with transformations like this.
So happy with how far we’ve come with this one 🤩
