This was my first time with a deaf hairdresser and it was honestly the best hair appointment I’ve ever had.
I walked in, explained exactly what I wanted (blunt cut, same length all the way around, straightened, no colour), showed a photo, and we were completely on the same page the whole time. No guessing. No awkwardness. Just clear communication and a beautiful haircut.
I also have a cochlear implant so I asked her to be extra gentle when washing — she was perfect.

After taking some time away for surgery and recovery, it feels wonderful to be back doing what I love.

What a beautiful transformation for my lovely client! We added soft layers to create movement, removed some weight, and finished with gorgeous ash blonde and silver tones to brighten the overall look.

The result is fresh, modern, and much easier to manage.

Seeing my clients leave feeling confident and happy is always the best part of my job, and I’m so grateful to be back creating beautiful hair again. 💇‍♀️✨

Cassie: I’d love it short, just above shoulder length please. A wavy bob with lots of layers. Can we add more blonde highlights? I want a fresh, bright colour. And I’d like my fringe thick and swept to the side. That’s what I want — I trust you!

After the transformation:
Cassie: (looking in the mirror) Oh my god… she is brilliant! Look at this!

Alex: This is my sister, by the way!

Cassie: Honestly, how long did this take?

Alex: Three hours ?

Cassie: Ten minutes!

Alex: I wish! Haha. Tell them what you did with my hair.

Cassie: First you told me exactly what you wanted — a short wavy layered bob, more blonde highlights with White Ice toner to cover the greys and make it fresh and bright. Then we drank way too much coffee and chatted nonstop!

Cassie: You’re such a good teacher! Even though it was late at night, she taught me how to curl the front of my hair properly. Before this I couldn’t get it right at all!

Alex: Did you buy that curling straightener?

Cassie: Yes! I tried it and it was rubbish!

Alex: Try my way?

Cassie: Yes! Your way is the best!

Alex: Yay!

Cassie: You’re amazing. I’ve always wanted you to do my hair… it’s always been you!

Alex: I’ve been doing and cutting your hair for 25 years straight!

Cassie: It’s true! I’ve known her for over 25 years… because she’s my sister! So everything is 100% real!

•Today we created a soft, modern pixie with a clean taper at the nape and a sharper outline around the ears. I reduced the weight through the back to give a smoother shape, and kept the top textured for movement. The result is clean, structured, and still soft and feminine.
