TAPES AREN’T FOR EVERY HEAD OF HAIR 🤎

But when they’re the right fit, they can be a game changer.

I wouldn’t usually recommend tapes for extremely fine or very low-density hair, as you need a decent amount of natural hair and density through the top and sides to support them comfortably and achieve a discreet finish.

Where I really love tapes is for clients who have mid-density hair that feels like it’s lacking volume and want to add noticeable length without their ends looking thin or straggly.

A beautiful refit for Christina, wearing 150g of tape extensions for gorgeous fullness and a seamless blend.

One of the most important parts of wearing tape extensions is keeping up with your recommended 6-week maintenance appointments.

As your natural hair naturally sheds during its normal growth cycle, the shed hairs remain attached within the tape extension panels. Over time, the tape extensions also grow further away from the scalp, which can cause the panels to become loose, tangled or uncomfortable if they are left in for too long.

During a tape extension refit, each panel is carefully removed, the shed hair is gently cleared away, and fresh tape is applied before the extensions are repositioned closer to the scalp. This helps maintain a secure, comfortable and seamless result while reducing unnecessary strain on your natural hair.

Leaving tape extensions in beyond the recommended maintenance time can lead to matting, tangling and excess tension, which is why regular refits are essential for keeping both your extensions and natural hair in the best possible condition.
