Before we even begin polish application, your nails and cuticles are thoroughly prepped. Cuticles are gently pushed back and tidied and nails are carefully shaped and prepared. Once you’ve chosen your colour from the HUGE number of polishes on display, it will be perfectly applied to your nails, along with any nail art you choose for your two complimentary accent nails. Before you leave, enjoy an application of cuticle oil and hand cream. We can’t have your hands letting down your new nails can we? �

MAINTENANCE AND REMOVAL
In order to prolong the life of your gel treatment and to keep your nails healthy and hydrated, please follow the aftercare advice given to you at your appointment. Removal of Nailchemy and OPI gel is straightforward, taking 20 minutes and causing no damage to the natural nail. Ideally you should have it professionally removed by Fuchsia Beauty. We're growing again and are looking for an experienced Beauty Therapist / Nail or Brow & Lash Technician to join our small (but rather fabulous) team at Fuchsia Beauty in Ashton Vale.
We’re not necessarily looking for just one person. We have a few different gaps to fill and we're much more interested in finding the right people than trying to squeeze one person into a job description that doesn't quite fit.
So this opportunity could become one larger role, two smaller roles, a Senior Therapist position or even a Salon Manager/Team Leader role for someone with the right experience.
First things first: you need to be good at what you do. We're a friendly, relaxed salon, but we're also very particular about standards.
Unlike previous roles we've advertised, this isn't suitable for somebody straight out of college. We simply don't have the capacity at the moment to provide the level of mentoring a newly qualified therapist deserves.
We're particularly interested in hearing from therapists with genuine skill and confidence in:
💅 Nails - especially gel manicures and pedicures�👀 Brows�✨ Lashes
Those are our big three.
If you're also brilliant at waxing, massage, facials or holistic treatments, even better. But we're keen to hear from those of you who are exceptional in those few areas than someone who technically offers everything but isn't really a nail or brow and lash specialist.
If nails are your thing and you’re the person who gets ridiculously excited about a beautiful application, healthy natural nails and a new collection of colours arriving, we should probably talk. If a beautifully shaped and defined brow gives you an unreasonable amount of satisfaction…we should also talk. And if you can't look at a lash lift without spotting the ONE crossed lash that needs sorting, just send me your CV now. 😂

I'm also at a stage with Fuchsia Beauty where I'd like to spend a little more time working on the business rather than trying to do absolutely everything in it. Novel idea, I know!
So I'm particularly interested in hearing from an experienced therapist who might be ready for their next step. Someone who can lead a team, use their initiative and confidently oversee the day-to-day running of a busy little salon. Someone who notices something needs doing... and does it. Someone who can support the other therapists, maintain our standards, look after our clients and occasionally say "Jenny, I've already sorted it" - quite possibly my new favourite sentence. 😀
Depending on the person, this could develop into a Senior Therapist, Team Leader or Salon Manager role, working closely alongside me and becoming a real right-hand person within the business.
Previous management experience would obviously be lovely, but I'm equally interested in somebody who has the personality, maturity and initiative to step up and is ready for more responsibility.

Fuchsia Beauty isn't really your typical high-street salon. We're based in our gorgeous two-room garden salon in Ashton Vale and have built a loyal client base who come to us for brilliant treatments, but also for the whole Fuchsia Beauty experience.
We're professional without being stuffy.
We take our treatments seriously, but ourselves considerably less so. There's conversation, laughter, terrible jokes, plenty of tea and a team who genuinely care about the lovely people walking through the door.
Some clients come for a manicure and a good natter. Others come for an hour of peace and quiet away from work/kids/partners/life and both are absolutely fine by us. Our job is to make people feel comfortable, looked after and bloody fabulous when they leave.
It’s a really exciting time to join us and help shape the next chapter of Fuchsia Beauty, which also includes a complete salon refurb in January!!
We're looking for someone who is warm, reliable, professional, confident with clients, a genuine team player and able to use their initiative. A sense of humour is pretty much compulsory. Ability to make an excellent cup of tea remains highly desirable. ☕️
Hours and days can be discussed because, as I said at the beginning, we're casting the net wide. For the right person, or people, we're happy to explore what might work. It will be expected that you’ll do your fair share of evenings and some Saturdays though.

When I announced the brand-new Bristol Book & Pudding Club, I hoped I might find a lovely group of people who fancied getting together once a month to talk books, meet new people, have a good laugh and eat pudding.
Turns out Bristol was VERY keen on the pudding. 😂 Our original group filled up incredibly quickly and is now officially SOLD OUT, with a waiting list! ❤️
So our original group has become CHAPTER 1 and I’m very excited to announce that we now have CHAPTER 2!
Chapter 2 will meet at the same lovely venue in Bedminster, on the SECOND WEDNESDAY of every month at 7.30pm, starting on October 14th.
And we already have a lot of people signed up, which means there are now just 6 PLACES LEFT before Chapter 2 joins Chapter 1 in being completely full. 😳
If you've been wondering whether Book & Pudding Club might be for you, expect:
📚 A different book each month�💬 Proper discussions, random chats, opinions and lots of laughter�☕ A drink�🍰 A delicious pudding�❤️ A genuinely friendly evening and the chance to meet new people�📖 And absolutely NO shame if life happened and you didn't quite finish the book!
You don't need to be a literary expert. You don't need an enormous home library, and nobody will be testing you on chapter 14 before you're allowed your pudding. 😂
Just come along with a love of books, an appetite for something sweet and a willingness to meet a new bunch of people.
I’m blown away by how quickly Chapter 1 filled and would absolutely LOVE to see Chapter 2 do the same.
