Bisou by Samantha Alton Bristol based
Bisou means kiss in French ๐Ÿ’‹ this word inspired me as I feel the beautiful Neal's Yard products I sell gives you a feeling of love and comfort and my bespoke clay earrings are handmade with love and care โค๏ธ

"Tradition is not the worship of ashes, but the preservation of fire.โ€ โ€” Gustav Mahler

I feel so passionately about preserving craft skills and connection to land and people. I find hope in growing food, in community and in creativity. It is not the easiest path but it's the most rewarding.

Sara Venn, founder of @ediblebristol , made me feel hopeful when things seemed bleak. She made me want to fight for what matters. I organised a Harvest Festival last year after she passed away, to raise money for Edible Bristol and help her son Noah continue her work. It was such a beautiful celebration of nature and autumn and craft that I decided to do it all again this year and I hope it will be as beautiful again! I feel even more in need of nature, connection and community with every year that passes. Access to fresh food and working with our hands are such fundamental parts of being human.

There are some amazing craftspeople taking part in this Harvest Festival on Saturday, offering their time and skills. The workshops and demos are below:
11am - wild foraging workshop with @artist.forager
12pm - book talk and signing with @lia_leendertz
1pm - sandcasting workshop for kids with @issibulloch

All day drop in sessions:
Make felt acorn decorations with @moss.twig
Weave a willow bird feeder with @bristolbaskets
Leaf ID'ing with @woodcroftcommuntyorchard

Craft demos by @moonbow.art, @craftpod_, @hivesandherbals and @avonguildswd

C***r and seasonal food by @dickwillowsfarm
Hot drinks and homemade cakes for sale
