This was a perfect lash lift ๐ but not every lift goes to plan, and I think we need to be honest about that.
A lash lift is a chemical treatment, and sometimes lashes simply donโt respond how we want them to. Different lashes can react differently, even when your technician has done everything correctly.
And yesโฆ Iโve been there too! ๐
That anxiety after the appointment, grabbing my little mirror and praying for an amazing resultโฆ only to see flat lashes. ๐ฉ
Itโs honestly devastating after all the solutions, timings and care that go into the treatment.
But please remember, it doesnโt automatically mean your technician has done a bad job. Sometimes the lashes just donโt comply!
And donโt believe everything you see on social media. We show you the amazing results, but we donโt always show you the ones that didnโt quite go to plan.
No technician gets a perfect result 100% of the time. I promise.
Iโm being real because lash artists are human too, and sometimes lashes have a mind of their own! ๐๐ค
Perfect results are amazing, but realistic expectations are just as important. โจ

I thought today was the perfect day to share a little bit about my journey.
I started lashing in 2016, in the middle of a house renovation in my hometown, Stoke-on-Trent. Half the ceiling was missing and the walls were knocked out, but my clients still turned up ๐ This was when I first started my own business as a makeup artist.
I spent years doing weddings in Ibiza and Mykonos and had the most amazing time, but being self employed also came with stress, money worries and constantly wondering if Iโd made enough.
So I added lash extensions after doing a 4 hour course in Bolton and completely fell in love with it. Slowly, makeup took a back seat and lashes became my passion.
In 2023 I moved to Brighton, built my business from scratch again, left an 11 year relationship and started renting, doing lashes from home. Along the way I met some incredible people who became friends and gave me so much support. ๐ค
Then came 2025, my early midlife crisis ๐ I bought two dogs, had two jobs and completely exhausted myself. I lost some clients and, honestly, I lost my love for lashes too.
Then I met someone who accepted everything that came with me. Possibly he is stupid ๐โค๏ธ but slowly everything started falling into place.
I left my job at the Post Office and decided to focus on lashes again. Now Iโm in a brand new home, engaged and very much in love, and after some really difficult months, life is finally feeling brighter.
Most importantly, I want to say thank you to every single client who has supported me, stuck by me, been patient with me and trusted me with your lashes. Whether youโve been with me since 2016 or youโve only just found me, I appreciate you more than you know. ๐ฅน๐ค
Hereโs to the next chapter, more lashes, more memories and hopefully no more midlife crises! ๐
