I promise I’m not judging you, (or maybe just a little) 🤭🩷 But let me explain!

Shower Loofahs are not an effective enough form of exfoliating for waxing, and are a breeding ground for bacteria and mould build up. Swap to a gentle exfoliating scrub or African wash net instead.

Please don’t go to the gym straight after your wax. I beg you! 🙏🏻 Hair follicles are left open after waxing, which means sweat can enter the open follicles leading to breakouts, pimples, and folliculitis.

Shaving… 🪒 in between waxing appointments. I get it, especially if you have an event coming up, but I do not encourage anyone to do it. Every time you shave you’re just starting the process again, and you’ll never achieve the longevity you want to achieve if you keep breaking the cycle.

Ingrown hair serums DO work. You just have to use them consistently for them to work their magic ✨ Once a month isn’t going to make any significant difference.

Sunbeds + Freshly Waxed Skin = Hell 🔥 Your skin is so sensitive after waxing! So please listen to your waxing specialists advice and avoid using them for at least 24hrs after your wax. I beg!

A week on since The Gathering, and proof that community overpowers competition, always 🩷

I had my ticket for the The Gathering Event for months, but as the event grew closer and things became a bit chaotic with not being able to renew the lease on my premises and relocate the business. I wasn’t sure if being in a room with loads of people and socialising/networking was what I needed.

Turns out it was exactly what I needed. Speaking to fellow beauty therapists who have gone from working in/owning busy salons, to now working from home, and them sharing their experiences with me bought me a sense of calm, and set my fears to one side. And for that I’m grateful 🫶🏻
