Today I was really excited to have been invited to HLS Equine Therapy for a tour of their facilities and to learn more about the amazing work they do.
I think it’s really important for me to personally experience other professionals at work and equine services, prior to making recommendations to my clients. And I will 💯 be recommending HLS to my clients. More info about their services are available here:

Whilst there I also got to observe the amazing Human and Equine Bowen Therapy at work! It’s always a special experience watching another professional at work, I learnt a lot from watching and listening to Holly and enjoyed learning all about their approach to equine therapy.
Massive thank you to everyone for making me feel so welcome today, horses and humans 🥰

Friday night fun! 🐴🤓 “Case-Based Nervous System Protocols”
As I continue on my equine neurophysiology journey, the next stage is learning nervous system treatment protocols. There’s some fantastic new techniques to be used in various presenting situations and I’m excited to practice these in upcoming sessions.
This course is really transforming my practice and enabling me to see horses through the nervous system lens. I’m moving away from primarily seeking isolated tight muscles and instead, following nerve pathways to positively influence movement, posture, sensory processing and supporting the horses body to access parasympathetic regulation.

🌟 Voting closes Sunday 18 October 🌟
Today I got to read some of the nominations that helped me become a finalist at the Pet Industry Business Awards - PIBA in the category of Outstanding Contribution to Animal Welfare 🥺
I always aim to offer a high quality service to improve the welfare of horses and also support their humans too. To read what people actually think about you, really is something else 🫶🏻
The final stage of the awards is the public vote so if you’d like to get behind Equi-Flex you can still nominate. Link in the comments 🤩
Thank you to everyone who supports me and my little business, I absolutely love what I do but I wouldn’t be where I am today without my amazing clients, their horses and my fellow equine professionals 🐴❤️

Huge congratulations to Charlotte Palfrey Equine Therapies on winning Animal Star Awards Therapist of the Year 🤩 a huge achievement and very well deserved 👏🏻 🥳
Altered hindlimb mechanics secondary to hock osteoarthritis can cause significant tension through the hindquarters and in Marnies case, the head of her tail. Compensatory movement patterns can be associated with additional strain on pelvic mobility and contribute to increased bracing and guarding through the lumbosacral region.
Sometimes horses don’t need fancy moves, complicated techniques or a therapist who knows the big words. They simply need presence, positive energy, light contact and a little bit of patience to help them to release and let go ❤️

Love the new monthly CPD certificates from Wolds Equine Sports Massage Approved Courses 👌🤩
Some real good reflective learning tonight, refreshing knowledge on palpation skills and interpreting findings on palpation. Always new things to learn along the way with these and this one was a good one to test my memory of muscles and their function. Sometimes it’s hard to keep so much information in my busy brain 🧠 it often falls out 😂
