Craig's Barber Shop

We didn’t bring the trophy back to Bolton tonight, but Craig’s Barbershop is coming home as a National Diversity Awards finalist and that is something we’re incredibly proud of.

Around 80,000 nominations were made this year, with Craig reaching the final 10 in his category.

This recognition belongs to everyone who has helped make the shop what it is today.

A huge thank you to Sarah and her children, whose support and lived experience have played such an important part in shaping this journey. Thank you to Scott taking this in your pride and embracing the shop values, every client and family who has trusted us, and everyone who nominated, voted and supported Craig.

Our goal has always been simple: to create a barbershop where neurodivergent people feel safe, understood and never judged.

We might not have won the award, but being recognised among the final 10 nationally shows just how important this work is.

We’ll be back in the shop doing exactly what we’ve always done building trust, one appointment at a time. 💚✂️

I honestly can’t believe I’m about to attend the National Diversity Awards. What started as a small barbershop in Bolton has grown into something I could never have imagined.

A massive thank you to every client and family who has trusted me and supported what we do. Every appointment, message and kind word has helped us get here.

I want to thank Sarah and her kids. Their experiences have played a massive part in shaping the barbershop and why we do things the way we do. Sarah has put so much into the business, supported me throughout the journey and helped turn my ideas into reality. I genuinely couldn’t have done this without her. 🤍

Now get everything crossed and hopefully you’ll get to watch me bring that award back to Bolton! 🤞🏆

We are incredibly proud to share that Craig Henderson has been shortlisted for a National Diversity Award.

This recognition means so much because it represents the work we do every day to make haircuts more accessible, calmer and more inclusive for neurodivergent and disabled people.

What started as wanting people to feel safe in the barber chair has grown into something much bigger, supporting families, adapting appointments, building trust, and showing that haircuts do not have to look the same for everyone.

A special thank you has to go to Sarah and her children, who played such an important part in helping us understand, improve and shape the way we support neurodivergent clients. Their trust, honesty and lived experience helped us become better at this work, and we will always be grateful for that.

This shortlisting is not just about Craig’s Barbershop. It is about every family who has trusted us, every child who has taken brave steps at their own pace, and every client who deserves to feel seen, safe and accepted.

Our message has always been simple:

Trust before trauma.
Connection before clippers.
Accessibility is not a luxury.

Father’s Day was spent cleaning and fading, Craig spent Father’s Day giving his son a fresh haircut and sharing some quality time together. 💙✂️

Being a barber is a passion, but being a dad is his greatest privilege he growing up to be fantastic young man, Moments like these are what Father’s Day is all about. ❤️
