🚨 PFAS / PFOA BLOOD TESTING NOW AVAILABLE 🚨

We know many people in Thornton-Cleveleys and the surrounding area are concerned about PFAS, often called “forever chemicals”, following concerns around the Hillhouse site.

As Thornton residents in the affected area ourselves, this matters personally to us. We share the community’s concerns and believe residents shouldn’t have to pay to investigate them.

It’s taken a LOT of work behind the scenes, contacting different laboratories, exploring options and comparing other providers’ prices. We’re now able to offer PFAS/PFOA blood testing for £249 per person, and we’ve worked hard to keep this as affordable as possible.

🩸 The test measures specific PFAS, including PFOA, in your blood, with a detailed report of your results.

Over the years, we’ve had the privilege of caring for thousands of patients, each with their own unique anatomy, medical history and venous access challenges.

Whilst the median cubital vein (ACF) is the most common site for taking blood, it isn’t always the best option. Sometimes, due to previous treatments, medical conditions, vein damage or naturally difficult veins, we need to think beyond the usual sites.

That’s why we’ve created this educational series, to show that successful venepuncture isn’t about luck… it’s about experience, clinical judgement and adapting to the individual sitting in front of you.

At Thomas Medical Services, every one of our clinicians has years of experience in phlebotomy and venous access.
