Sharp SMP

I’m usually one to make a joke of everything. But this however is a very serious matter. Last year both my Nan’s where suffering with Dementia and Alzheimers. Unfortunately they lost their battles in October 2025 and January 2026. Me and my family are doing a sponsored walk to raise money for the Alzheimers Society which supports people with Alzheimers and the families around them also giving money to researching a cure for this awful illness.

Today I had to send this client home instead of carrying out his second SMP session.
As you can see, the white patches on his scalp weren’t there before. This is sun damage.
If I’d gone ahead with the treatment today, the skin simply wouldn’t heal the way healthy skin should, and that directly affects the final result.
This is exactly why I stress that pre-care and aftercare aren’t optional. They’re just as important as the treatment itself.
If you want the best possible SMP, you need to give your skin the best possible chance to heal. That means following all of the pre-care and aftercare instructions—not just the parts that suit you.

Had a really honest conversation with a client the other day who I haven’t seen in about 6–7 years.
