Education is one of the biggest investments you can make, and I’m always learning, growing, and looking for ways to improve.
When I first started tattooing, my line work wasn’t the best. The more I learned about skin, healing, and the techniques behind tattooing, the more everything started to make sense. I realised that fine line tattooing is approached very differently from traditional tattooing, and once I understood that, everything clicked.
I see a lot of posts claiming that fine line tattoos don’t last or that the lines will eventually spread and blur together. While that can happen, it’s usually the result of poor application, incorrect technique, or aftercare not being followed. Fine line tattoos are placed in the same layer of skin as traditional tattoos—the difference is the technique used to achieve the result. They may need a touch-up, and over time they’ll naturally soften slightly, but that’s part of the aesthetic and what makes fine line tattoos so beautiful.
Tattooing is constantly evolving, and trends change. Criticising fine line tattoos simply because they’re different from traditional styles doesn’t make much sense to me, especially when it’s what so many clients are looking for today. Sometimes it says more about someone’s unwillingness to adapt than it does about the quality of the work. There’s no need to put other tattoo artists down just because they specialise in something different. 😂
One thing that’s really important to me is making sure my clients feel comfortable. I want you to tell me if you don’t like a placement, if something doesn’t feel right, or even if you’ve changed your mind and want to cancel—there’s never any judgement. I’d much rather you leave happy than settle for something you’re unsure about.
I listen more than I talk. I’ll always tell you if I don’t think something will work, if it’s too small, or if I think a design needs adjusting. I’m not afraid to say no, because saying no is sometimes the right thing to do. I only take on work that I know I can give 100% to, and I stay within the styles I specialise in.

She also got the matching pinky promise tattoo with her sister, which seems to be starting a little trend at the moment as I’m seeing them everywhere! But I absolutely love how we personalised these by them having each other’s initials incorporated ❤️
