I was born with my other half.

Masoud and I shared everything - even one desk at school in Tehran. One dream: to become surgeons, side by side.

At 17, life asked us to choose. We both chose experimental sciences, but that same year Masoud ranked in the National Math Olympiad and I ranked in Biology. Our principal said: “Masoud belongs to math, you belong to medicine.” On paper, we separated. In heart, never.

I went on to 7 years of general medicine and 4 years of aesthetic surgery, nights in the emergency room and days in a well-known aesthetic clinic in Tehran. Masoud became a structural civil engineer and started building - literally. He built beautiful villas and buildings for me, and I did Botox for him in return 😂

A year ago, I left everything familiar and moved from Tehran to Belfast with one suitcase full of fear, hope, and dreams of international experience. Being away from family is truly hard.

But here, I found a new family. FaceTherapy NI became my home. Lisa and Geri became the sisters I never had - with all my heart, I love them like my own sisters.

And now, after a year of missing him every day, my other half is finally joining me here in Belfast to live and work together again.

We are standing together again, next to our new family.
