The collagen booster I’ve been trusting the longest 💉

Radiesse has been one of my top three treatments for years, and it earns its place every time. What most people don’t realise is how flexible it is. It works as a filler when I need to add volume, or as a proper collagen booster when I dilute it down. Same product, two completely different jobs.

🔎 What is Map My Mole?

Map My Mole is a skin surveillance service using specialist dermatoscope technology to assess moles and skin lesions for any suspicious changes.

As a nurse, I know how important early detection can be. Having experienced a BCC diagnosis myself, I’m passionate about raising awareness and helping people take their skin health seriously. 💗

☀️ Know your skin. Check your moles. Don’t ignore changes.

My GP told me it was nothing. It was cancer 🤍

A few years ago I had a skin lesion that wouldn’t go away. Painful, bleeding, told repeatedly it was nothing to worry about. Eventually I paid to see a dermatologist privately and was diagnosed with a basal cell carcinoma. My diagnosis had been delayed by around two years. Since working in aesthetics I’ve heard the same sentence too many times. “My GP said it was fine.” That’s why I brought Map My Mole into my clinic. It takes high-quality dermoscopic images of a mole or lesion, reviewed by a UK consultant dermatologist. The NHS waiting list in Wales for a suspected BCC is 3 to 5 years. That’s not acceptable when it’s your skin.

Just 0.5ml of hyaluronic acid to add a little balance, improve symmetry and give these gorgeous lips a touch of extra plumpness. 💋✨

Sometimes, less really is more.

The bottom photo was taken while there’s still a little swelling present, so once this settles, the lips will appear softer, more natural and even more beautiful.

I’m all about subtle enhancements that complement your features rather than changing them. 🤍

There really is no better feeling than hearing someone recommend you to somebody else 🥹❤️

For a small business, recommendations genuinely mean SO much. And I’m incredibly proud to say that a huge proportion of my patients have found me through recommendations from their friends, family… and even complete strangers!

Someone trusting you enough to say, “You need to go and see Jo” is honestly the biggest compliment. 🥰

I know there are so many businesses and practitioners out there, so for someone to recommend me based on their own experience means more than you probably realise.

So, to every single person who has ever recommended me, tagged me, shared my page, sent a friend my way or simply told someone about their experience with me…

THANK YOU. 🫶🏼

You really do help small businesses grow, and I never take it for granted. ❤️

And yes… if you hear me in the pub toilet secretly listening to you recommend me… just carry on. 😂👀

A little update on my BCC… ❤️

A few weeks ago, I was diagnosed by a dermatologist with BCCs on my face and chest he recommended excision to face but I would be faced with a long scar and possibly a deformed face. I have a great deal of respect for my dermatologist, but because of the location of the BCC on my face, I felt that a plastic surgeon would be the best person to remove it.

So I decided to get in touch with plastic surgeon Mr Dean Boyce. I know his work and completely trust him, and I knew that if surgery was necessary, I wanted someone who understood not only how to remove the lesion, but also how to restore and preserve the appearance of my face.

Mr Boyce took a more cautious approach and requested a biopsy before deciding on the most appropriate treatment.

And now I have my results…

Yes, it is a BCC — but thankfully, it isn’t as deep as initially thought and finding this provided my with a choice of treatment . 🙏🏼

Mr Boyce has given me two options:

➡️ Excision — surgically removing the BCC and suturing the area, which would inevitably result in more scarring.

➡️ Laser treatment — because the BCC isn’t as deep as originally thought, this is a considerably less invasive option and will hopefully result in less scarring.

After discussing the options, I’ve decided to go ahead with the laser treatment. I’m now just waiting for an appointment date.

I honestly cannot tell you how relieved I am that I don’t need to have a large area of my face cut out.

I’m incredibly grateful to Mr Boyce for taking such a cautious approach and not simply removing it without first establishing exactly what we were dealing with.

So, for now, I’m feeling very relieved. ❤️

This experience has really reinforced something I’ve always believed professionally too — sometimes the safest and most appropriate approach is to slow down, investigate properly and make an informed decision rather than rushing into treatment.

I’ll keep you updated when I have a date and let you know how it goes. ❤️

The treatment I’ve been talking about all month 💉

Lenisna is a next-generation collagen booster and it’s genuinely changed how I think about facial rejuvenation. It stimulates your own collagen while giving instant volume on the day, so you leave looking fresher and your skin keeps improving for the next three months. Not for people who want to look different.

For people who want to look like themselves again, just better ✨

The treatment I’m booking my clients in for more than anything else right now ✨

So many people are coming in asking for filler, and increasingly I’m recommending Lenisna instead. It works with your skin rather than simply adding volume - boosting collagen and elastin, improving hydration and skin quality, and giving that fresher, more lifted appearance we’re all after. You get the initial skin-quality boost straight away, while your own collagen keeps rebuilding underneath for months afterwards. Results can last up to two years. It’s become one of my favourite treatments to recommend when someone wants to look fresher, healthier and naturally rejuvenated - never done.

Suitability is always assessed during consultation, and my DMs are open if you’d like to chat 🤍
