This lovely lady had been through a long removal process, with a red hue still remaining from her previous brow tattoo.

We had to work with what was left behind, carefully planning her brows around her natural features and what she wanted from the treatment.

After everything she’d already been through, it was especially important that she felt listened to, involved and comfortable with our plan.

I used to think I had to look like everyone else in this industry.

Perfect makeup.
Straight hair.
Matching scrubs/super smart clothes
Always polished.

And honestly, I used to worry that no one would want to book with me if I had a scruffy bun, barely any makeup on, or I’d just thrown on comfy black clothes because I didn’t feel great in myself that day.

Turns out… no one actually gives a s**t 😂

They don’t book me because I look “perfect.”
They book me because I’m real.
Because I talk to them like a normal person.
Because I make them feel comfortable.
Because they don’t feel like they have to be polished either.
That’s probably one of the biggest things I’ve learnt.

!! Creativity is personal too !!
Whether it’s PMU or tattoos, everyone has a different style. WE ARE ARTISTS!
And I genuinely think sometimes we get too caught up in what we’re “supposed” to do.

Of course technique matters.
Products matter.
Safety matters.
Understanding the skin matters.

But beyond that…
Who created the bloody style police? 😂
Creativity is meant to feel personal.
So let it be personal!

And probably the biggest lesson of all…

!! I’ve learnt to trust myself more !!
From the client sitting up after fresh brows and having that initial:
“OH MY GOD THEY’RE SO DARK 😳”
…to me looking at a tiny tattoo design and thinking:
“Can I actually tattoo this little masterpiece?”

Yes.
Yes I can.

I used to get really upset up if a client had brow shock, even when I’d explained that fresh PMU looks stronger before it softens and fades.

Then they’d come back six weeks later absolutely beaming because they loved them.

And slowly I learnt:
I’ve put so many hours and so much money into ensuring now:
I know my techniques.
I know my products.
I know what healing looks like.
I know what I’m doing.

I don’t have to panic every time someone else panics.
I can trust myself.

And I think that confidence has probably changed me more than anything else.

Still learning. Still evolving. Still me. Just trusting myself a little more now. 💜

First tattoo nerves are SO real 😂

And honestly, I’d much rather you ask me 27 questions, move the stencil five times and tell me you’re nervous than sit there pretending you’re completely fine.

Most first-time clients worry about exactly the same things:

Will it hurt?
Will I regret the placement?
Will it look too big?
What if I move?

That’s all completely normal.

The funny bit is, once we actually start, most people say:

“Oh… is that it?”
