A day well spent with amazing people ✨

Loved being part of the Timely Appointment Software networking event — meeting inspiring people, listening to some brilliant speakers, sharing ideas and having those conversations that make you stop and think.

And because networking doesn’t always have to mean sitting around talking… we finished with a meditation session followed by a game of paddle! 🎾

A great mix of learning, connection, movement and plenty of laughs.

So grateful to have been surrounded by such an inspiring group of people. Already looking forward to the next one! 🤍

Would you infill this? 👀

This is where being a lash artist is about more than applying another extension to every gap.

Before an infill, you need to look at what is already there.

Outgrowth. Direction. Weight. Attachments. Natural lash condition.

Sometimes the correct decision isn’t to add more.

Sometimes it’s to remove and rebuild.

Your client might ask for an infill — but our job is to assess whether an infill is actually appropriate.

So be honest…

Would you infill this set? YES or NO?

👇 Tell me why. I want to see how you would approach it.

How do you recognise a good lash fan from a bad one?

It’s not just about how pretty the set looks.

Look closer at the fan: the base, the amount of adhesive, how evenly the lashes are spread and how cleanly they’re attached.

A good fan should be clean, controlled and balanced — with no unnecessary bulk or clumping.

And remember… a set can look beautiful on day one, but the real test is how those lashes behave as they grow out and shed.

Would you know what to look for? 👀

✔️Save this post — it might make you look at lash fans very differently next time.

UV does not mean allergy-free.

This is something I think every lash artist using UV needs to understand.

UV curing can change the curing process and may reduce the time adhesive remains uncured, but the adhesive itself still contains reactive ingredients.

So if a client has experienced a reaction to lash adhesives before, don’t simply say:

“Try UV — you won’t be allergic to it.”

That’s not a promise we can responsibly make.

Know your product. Know your client’s history. Know the limitations of your system.

That is part of being a professional UV lash artist. 🤎

Don’t wait. Innovate. Adapt.

Does UV make lash application faster?

It can — but I wouldn’t sell UV as a magic shortcut.

The biggest change I notice is the control over the curing process.

With traditional adhesive, you’re working with an adhesive that continues curing while you’re working.

With UV, once you’ve correctly positioned the attachment and you’re ready to cure, you can cure it immediately.

That can change your workflow.

But if your isolation is slow, your fans aren’t consistent or you’re still unsure about placement, UV isn’t going to magically make you faster.

Technology doesn’t replace technique.

For me, the real advantage is:

CONTROL.
PREDICTABILITY.
EFFICIENCY.

And once you understand how to use the technology properly, that’s when you can start seeing the difference in your workflow.

UV isn’t about rushing.
It’s about working smarter with the technology in your hands.
