One I get asked ALL the time… 👀
“Why has my toner faded already?”
The simple answer is — toner isn't permanent. 🤍

A Toner is used to refine your blonde, neutralise unwanted warmth and give you that beautiful fresh salon tone of your choice.
But over time, it naturally fades and the warmer tones underneath start to show through again.

Things like:
🚿 Washing your hair frequently
🔥 Heat styling
💧 Hot water
🧴 Certain shampoos
☀️ Sun exposure
✨ Your hair's porosity and condition
can all affect how long your toner lasts.
And this is why your blonde can look gorgeous when you leave the salon, then gradually become warmer over the following weeks.

It doesn't mean your colour has gone wrong! 🙌🏼
It simply means the toner has done its job and is gradually fading.

The good news?
You can help it last longer by using the right products, washing less frequently, keeping the water cooler, using heat protection and looking after your hair properly at home. 🤍

CAN I BE BLONDE IN ONE APPOINTMENT?

When we're taking very dark, especially black hair lighter, we have to lift the hair through layers of underlying pigments.

Think of it like climbing a ladder 🪜,
you can't jump straight from the bottom to the top without going past all the steps in between.

THESE ARE THE STEPS ⬇️🤭

🔴 Deep red
🟠 Dark orange
🟠 Pale orange
🟡 Orange/yellow
💛 Bright yellow
💛 Pale yellow

And only once the hair has been lifted enough can we start talking about what blonde we're actually able to create 🤌

THEN THERES THE CONDITION OF YOUR HAIR. 💪🏼

Blonding sessions are serious chemical processes, Your hair has to be strong enough to handle the journey!!

If your hair has been repeatedly chemically treated and already fragile or compromised i might need to slow things right down..
