The opposite of imposter syndrome?🤔

I’ve been in a bit of a funk for the past week or so. Feeling like I’m not doing enough.

The start of this month was genuinely one of the most exciting periods of my career. After months of working behind the scenes, Ashleigh & I got to teach at our sold out masterclass AND launch The Bestie Edit. Two things I’m unbelievably grateful for🥹

And then, almost immediately, my brain went… “right Courtney, what’s next?”

We talk a lot about imposter syndrome, and I think there’s a certain humility in doubting whether you deserve your success. But what about when you DO believe in yourself? When you have huge expectations of yourself and you’re so focused on what you’re capable of achieving that you barely give yourself a second to appreciate what you’ve already done?

I don’t think we talk enough about that side of ambition.

When it comes to social media and creating content, it can sometimes feel like if you’re not constantly producing, growing or working towards something bigger, you’re falling behind.

I’ve had to make a conscious effort this past week to stop looking forward for a minute and actually look back.

I think sometimes the biggest downside of being ambitious is that the goalposts never stop moving. But I’m learning that there’s room to be excited about what’s next AND incredibly proud of where you are right now.

So if you’ve been feeling a little stuck lately, maybe you don’t need to be doing more. Maybe you just need to remind yourself how much you’ve already done.

A little more gratitude for where I am, and a little less pressure about where I’m going🙋🏼‍♀️❤️
