Hi all! If you know me, you will know my only goal in life was to run the London marathon before I’m 30… well this year I have been offered to run and raise money for the mental health foundation! A bit of a rant so apologies in advance but the issue needs addressed. In the last 4 weeks I have had just over £600 in no shows. the impact that has on small businesses like mine is astronomical. I have rent to pay for the salon, stock bills, my mortgage and my own little girl to support. In any other job if you were docked £600 in a month for your wages for no fault of your own you wouldn’t stay in the job. It is a huge lack of respect and it is unfair. I love my job but at the end of the day it is a job, which we are entitled to be paid for.

I am one of the most accommodating people I know when it comes to appointments, I stay late, I start a Saturday sometimes at 6:30am, finish some nights at 9pm, I only took 3 weeks of maternity because I felt guilty for clients and I sacrifice my days off which should be spent with Lucy. Sadly this will all be changing from now on. I hate to be the person having to post this and have this attitude but it is not sustainable to run a business like this. You shouldn’t have to go to work to not be paid.

Again, sorry for the rant but enough is enough and I am taken advantage of for being nice, so sadly it must stop. ❤️
