Hair colour matters more than you might think when it comes to laser hair removal.

Laser targets the pigment in the hair, which is why darker hairs generally respond best. Grey and white hairs lack the pigment needed, while red and very light blonde hairs are generally unsuitable too.

So, if you’ve been considering laser for unwanted hairs that are starting to turn grey, it’s worth asking about your options while those hairs still have colour.

Yes, you can. You don’t need to leave unwanted hair to grow between your appointments.

Shaving cuts the hair at the skin’s surface, leaving the hair beneath it for the laser to target.

Waxing, plucking, threading and epilating remove hair from the root, so these should be avoided in the area being treated throughout your course.

After a treatment, wait until your skin has settled before shaving and follow your therapist’s aftercare advice.

We also ask you to shave the area before your next appointment. If you’re unsure about when to do this, just ask us and we’ll talk you through it.
