Did you know syringomas don’t just appear around the eyes?

Syringomas are small, benign growths that develop from the ducts of sweat glands. They typically appear as tiny, firm, skin-coloured or yellowish bumps, often in clusters.

Although most commonly found around the eyelids, they can also develop on the cheeks, neck, chest and other areas of the body, as shown in this real patient photograph.

They’re harmless, but their appearance can sometimes cause cosmetic concern.

At InSkin Clinic, we use precision short-wave diathermy to target individual syringomas, helping to reduce their appearance. More than one treatment may be needed, and suitability is assessed individually.

For darker skin tones, a test patch may be recommended to assess how the skin responds and heals before proceeding with further treatment.
