bruising and swelling after lip filler is very common, especially in the first 24–72 hours. Lip tissue has a lot of blood vessels, so even careful injections can cause temporary swelling or small bruises.
Typical reactions after fillers like hyaluronic acid include:
* Swelling (often worst the next morning)
* Tenderness or firmness
* Mild asymmetry while swelling settles
* Small bruises at injection sites
* Feeling “lumpy” for a few days
Most swelling improves noticeably within 3–7 days, though subtle settling can continue for about 2 weeks.
