Myofascial release (MFR) is a specialised hands-on therapy that treats chronic pain and muscle stiffness by targeting the fascia—the dense, tough web of connective tissue that surrounds and supports every muscle, bone, and organ in your body.

When healthy, fascia is flexible and elastic. However, due to injuries, stress, inflammation, or poor posture, it can become tight, restricted, and “stuck”. This tightness causes pain, tension, and reduced mobility that can spread to areas far from the original restriction.

MFR involves slow, sustained pressure and gentle stretching applied directly to the skin. Some of the techniques can feel like a subtle stretch while others can feel quite deep.
