MissPlaces supports women’s well-being through a wide range of craft activities and workshops

MissPlaces is a community business which was set up in the summer of 2017. We are a warm, friendly and supportive group, who meet regularly bringing a wide variety of interests, skills, talents and hobbies, to contribute to the economic growth and sustainability of MissPlaces. Members use their skills, both old and new, to make items to sell and just a few to mention are Jewellery, greetings cards

Please share this with anyone you may know who has a story to tell🦋

🦋 Have you experienced homelessness? I need your help.

This project is incredibly close to my heart.

Many years ago, I experienced homelessness myself. I know how difficult it can be to get thr help needed, and I know how much the way you're treated by healthcare professionals can stay with you.

That's why I'm asking for your help.

I'm working on a research project to help improve the way people experiencing homelessness receive healthcare, and I need to hear from the people who understand it best.

Instead of a formal interview, I'd love to invite you along to a relaxed butterfly painting session.

🦋 Why butterflies?
Because I truly believe everyone has a story worth telling. Butterflies might all look similar at first glance, but every single one is unique...just like us.

My hope is that while we're busy painting, the conversation will feel a little easier. There'll be no pressure, no expectations, just a safe space where you can share as much or as little as you feel comfortable with. Together, we can help make a difference for others.

📍 Community Corner
📅 Monday 3rd August
🕓 4:00pm – 6:00pm

🎨 All painting materials provided
☕ Tea, coffee and refreshments available
💜 A warm, welcoming and judgement free space

If you've experienced homelessness, or are currently homeless, I'd love for you to join us - Please send me a message here: Emma Louise .

Please share this with anyone you think might benefit from taking part, or anyone who works with people experiencing homelessness.

This research won't just sit on a shelf!! I plan to take what we learn directly to the people who can influence and implement real change in how healthcare is delivered for people experiencing homelessness.

Please send me a message if you'd like to come along or find out more. 💜

Come curious. Come imperfect. Come exactly as you are.

Because creativity is not about making something perfect.

It is about giving something inside you somewhere to go.
