Skin Tag & Plasma Pen Treatment

Skin tags are small, soft, flesh-coloured or slightly darker growths that commonly appear where skin rubs against skin or clothing, such as the neck, underarms, eyelids and other areas of friction. They are usually harmless and non-cancerous, but they can sometimes catch on clothing or jewellery or be unwanted cosmetically.

Plasma pen treatment uses a controlled plasma-generated heat to target the surface of the unwanted skin tissue. The treatment creates a small, precise area of thermal damage, allowing the treated tissue to dry and gradually shed as the skin heals.

Depending on the size, location and appearance of the skin tag, plasma treatment may be considered as a cosmetic removal option. A suitable assessment is important before treatment to ensure the growth is appropriate to treat and does not require medical assessment.

After treatment, the area may appear red and/or develop a small crust while it heals. Following the recommended aftercare is important to minimise the risk of irritation, pigmentation changes and scarring.
