Whether you’re new to PEMF or have been thinking about trying it, here are the answers to some of our most frequently asked questions.

PEMF (Pulsed Electromagnetic Field Therapy) delivers electromagnetic pulses throughout the body. It has been studied for its ability to support normal cellular function and ATP production – the body’s main energy molecule.

People often use PEMF to support:
• Pain relief
• Reducing inflammation
• Increasing energy
• Recovery after injury or exercise
• Better sleep & relaxation

PEMF may also support people living with chronic pain, arthritis, muscle strains, poor circulation, nerve irritation, delayed tissue healing, migraines and fatigue.

We use a high-intensity PEMF system, so most people can feel a gentle pulsing sensation during treatment. Many find it deeply relaxing, and it’s not unusual to fall asleep.

For general wellbeing, once a week is common. For chronic health concerns, we often recommend an intensive course initially, followed by maintenance sessions, as the benefits of PEMF are often cumulative.

Meet the Team - Katie

I’m an experienced clinical reflexologist and reiki practitioner who loves meeting new people and supporting them on their wellness journey. I joined Camden’s House in May and am now training in full body lymphatic massage and facial sculpting which you’ll be able to book in for very soon!

I’m a proud mum to three grown-up daughters and spent many years raising them before deciding to qualify as a reflexologist and follow my passion for holistic health and spiritual wellbeing.

Outside work I love spending time in nature and travelling to dance music events at home and abroad - I’m just back from Anjunadeep Explorations in Albania - the 90’s clubber in me lives on!

I studied French at Edinburgh Uni many moons ago and like to keep up my language skills through French books and films.

I’ve been learning tarot for over two years now and enjoy giving readings to family and friends.

My dream is to travel to some of the world’s best swimming and snorkelling spots - I feel happiest in crystalline waters - the North Sea doesn’t cut it! Hawaii here I come!

Meet the team — Shona

I’ve worked in the health and social care sector for most of my adult life, so supporting people has always been a big part of what I do. Alongside that, I’ve also trained as a complementary therapist in massage, reflexology and the Emmett Technique, and I’m now training in full body lymphatic drainage and facial sculpting here at Camden’s House.

The funny thing is, when I first saw the Camden’s House job advert, I actually sent it to Katie because I thought it sounded perfect for her. Then I immediately regretted it and thought, hold on… I want to work there too! Luckily, I applied as well.
Outside of work, I love running and keeping fit. I also have three daughters, three grandchildren and three grandpuppies, so life is rarely quiet.

My favourite treatment has to be red light therapy. I love it because I feel an instant benefit, it’s like being recharged, as if someone’s plugged me in like a phone.

I’m really enjoying being part of Camden’s House and getting to know everyone who comes through the door. 🤍

Meet the team — Geri

Before joining Camden’s House, I worked alongside my mum in our family-run beauty salon. One of my favourite parts of the job was getting to know our clients and building relationships over the years. I also specialised in lip blushing.

After spending the last nine years at home raising my two boys, I decided it was time to get back to work. Rather than sending a traditional CV, I actually included a list of my favourite podcasts... slightly cringe, I know! But I figured it probably said more about me than my CV did. Think Andrew Huberman, The Genius Life, Zoe and anything else about health, wellbeing and how we can look after ourselves better.
Apparently it worked, because I was invited for an interview... and then offered the job!

My favourite treatment at Camden’s House has to be Red Light Therapy. I love using it before my shift as it leaves me feeling energised, and my skin always seems to thank me for it too.

Outside of work, you’ll usually find me walking the dog with a coffee in hand and a friend by my side, at Pilates, spending time with my husband Nathan, or cheering on my boys from the side of a football pitch. That’s pretty much my perfect weekend.

I’m so happy to be part of the Camden’s House team and I love meeting new people every day.

Meet the team — Emma

I’d actually heard about Camden’s House through friends long before I worked here, so when I saw they were hiring, I couldn’t resist applying. It just felt like somewhere I’d love to be part of.

The funny part is, I probably wouldn’t have even made it to the interview if it wasn’t for an expired passport. I was supposed to be flying to Germany, but I was refused boarding at the airport because my passport didn’t have enough time left on it. The holiday didn’t happen, but I did make the interview... so I guess it was meant to be!

My background is in dental nursing, although I’ve worked in a few different roles over the years. I also spent three years living in Dubai, where I took a break from work after having my daughter. After moving back to Aberdeen and welcoming our second child, I realised how much I’d missed working with people and those day-to-day chats with clients, so getting back into a customer-facing role felt like the perfect fit.

Outside of work, I’m definitely a homebody. If I’m not at Camden’s House, you’ll usually find me spending time with my family, our dog, and enjoying a cosy night in.
