A huge congratulations and heartfelt thank you to our amazing volunteer, Michelle, and her young person, Chloe, who have just enjoyed their very last outing together through Befriend a Child after an incredible 11 years. 🥹✨

When Michelle and Chloe were first matched by our Befriending Manager, Nicola, Chloe was just 5 years old. Eleven years later, the transformation has been nothing short of incredible. Together, they've shared countless adventures, created lifelong memories and built a truly special bond that will last far beyond their time with Befriend a Child.

Michelle recently shared that she can't thank Nicola enough for bringing them together all those years ago, and stories like theirs are a powerful reminder of the life-changing impact a single volunteer can have on a local child or young person.

Michelle, thank you for your outstanding commitment, kindness and dedication over the past 11 years. Your support has helped shape Chloe's childhood and teenage years, and we are so incredibly grateful for everything you have done.

Michelle has chosen to continue volunteering, and we can't wait to match her with another local child who needs the support of a positive adult role model in the coming months!

To Michelle and Chloe, thank you for allowing us to be part of your special journey. We wish you both all the happiness for the future and have no doubt that the wonderful friendship you've built will continue to grow for many years to come.💛
