Yesterday, I had a client book in for ombre lips, but during the consultation she told me what she really wanted was a very natural result.👄

This is actually a conversation I have quite often.

Many people think ombré = natural, but in my opinion, they create two very different looks.💄

✨ Lip blush is designed to enhance your natural lips. By choosing a shade that’s close to your own lip colour, we can even out pigmentation, restore areas that have faded over time, subtly define the lips, and create a fresh, healthy-looking result-without looking like you’re wearing lipstick.

✨ Ombré lips are designed to create a more makeup-inspired effect. To achieve a visible gradient, the lip border needs to be more defined and deeper in colour than the centre of the lips. That contrast is what creates the ombré effect, but it also makes the result look less natural.

In my client’s case, her natural lip colour was already beautiful - it was just a little uneven. Instead of ombré, we chose a lip blush shade that closely matched her own lips, creating a soft, balanced result that looked like her lips, just better.🎨

Dark Lip Neutralisation Journey Started ✨

Dark lip neutralisation can be a journey, and patience is key! Depending on the natural pigmentation of the lips, it may take around 2–5 sessions/touch-ups to gradually neutralise darker tones and achieve the desired softer, more even and pink-toned lip colour. 💗

Every session builds on the previous one, and the healed results develop gradually — but the final transformation is so worth the wait! ✨
