BREAKING: 32 PEOPLE CONFIRMED DEAD — NO SURVIVORS
The Nigerian Air Force aircraft that crashed yesterday afternoon in Igbokoda, Ondo State, had 32 people on board — 25 passengers and 7 crew members.
Sadly, all 32 people have been confirmed dead. There were no survivors.
This is a devastating tragedy for their families, colleagues and the entire nation.

Nigeria has entered three days of national mourning following the deadly military-aircraft crash in Igbokoda, Ondo State.

President Bola Tinubu has directed that flags be flown at half-mast nationwide in honour of the Nigerian Air Force personnel who lost their lives.

The Air Force is expected to release the victims’ names after their families have been informed, while a comprehensive investigation has been ordered.

However, authorities have still not published a final casualty count. Although 25 passengers and seven crew members were aboard, it has not been officially stated that all 32 people died.

From July 2026 to June 2026, an estimated 7,825 people were kidnapped and over $5.8 million was paid in ransom, with about 21 incidents occurring daily on average. Some recent cases, like the NYSC abduction in 2026, involved initial demands of N50 million per Victim that were later reduced, with families reporting that captors allowed calls assess payment ability and used beating to apply pressure.🙆🏼🙆🏼

20 NYSC Members Kidnapped in Imo State

Twenty members of the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) have been kidnapped in Imo State, Nigeria.

The corps members were travelling in a commercial bus from Ibadan, Oyo State. They were going to their different orientation camps.

The bus was attacked along the Owerri–Onitsha Road, near Umunoha in Imo State.

Reports say the attackers were suspected Fulani gunmen. They stopped the vehicle and took the passengers away.

Imo State Police spokesperson Henry Okoye confirmed the incident. He said security agencies have started a joint operation to rescue the victims and catch the kidnappers.

The Commissioner of Police, Audu Bosso, visited the scene of the attack. Security officers have been sent into nearby bushes and escape routes to look for the victims.

This attack has raised new worries about the safety of NYSC members. Many young Nigerians travel long distances to take part in the mandatory one-year national service.

The police have not yet said if any of the victims have been released. More details will follow as the story develops.
