FOR 6 YEARS, HE COULDN’T WALK AND RELIED ON A WHEELCHAIR.
Today, he did something his family had not seen him do for years:
He stood up by himself.
Then, with Dr. Pai beside him for support, he began to walk.
He said:
“No more wheelchair.”
“I can walk.”
“I can garden again.”
“I’m so happy.” ❤️
And then, embracing Dr. Pai, he said:
“Today, I call Dr. Pai my father.” ❤️
For his family, seeing him stand up on his own after six years in a wheelchair was an unforgettable moment.

After years of seeing different doctors and visiting hospitals for his back pain, he returned to VUDA TCM a few days after treatment with a smile.

BACK TO HIS ROOTS IN TAIWAN
THREE GENERATIONS OF TRADITIONAL CHINESE MEDICINE
Dr. Pai returned to Taiwan for just 7 days.
But this was more than a trip home.
It was a return to a family medical tradition that began in the 1920s.
Dr. Pai’s maternal grandfather, Lu Hu, was the first generation.
The tradition was then carried forward by the second generation — Dr. Pai’s father and his uncle, Dr. Lu Wen-Rui.
For Dr. Pai, both his father and his uncle were more than family.
They were also his teachers.
From a young age, Dr. Pai learned by watching, listening and practising alongside the older generation — absorbing clinical experience, treatment principles and traditional techniques directly from them.
Today, Dr. Pai represents the third generation continuing this family tradition.
During his short return to Taiwan, he once again visited Yu Yuan Tang TCM Clinic, where he discussed clinical cases and worked alongside his uncle and teacher, Dr. Lu Wen-Rui.
These photos are more than memories from Taiwan.
They show a tradition that is still alive today.

Dr. Pai returns to VUDA TCM on 7 October 2026.
7 MONTHS AFTER HER STROKE… TODAY, SHE TOOK STEPS. ❤️
Before treatment, her son shared that one arm and one leg were not working properly, and she had been using a wheelchair.
Later, she happily shared that she could lift her arm, the pain had improved, and she was able to take steps while holding a hand for support.
For her and her family, this was a very meaningful moment.
