Hoja Verde is honestly one of my favourite preserved flower suppliers, and there are a few reasons why.

🌿 First, the variety. It’s not just the classic preserved roses — they have so many different flowers, shapes and textures to choose from.

🎨 Then there are the colours. They have such an unusual and beautiful colour palette, which gives me so much freedom to create really aesthetic, unique bouquets.

✨ And, of course, the quality. I’ve been working with Hoja Verde for quite a while now, so I’ve had the chance to really test their flowers — the quality, the colouring, and even the stems, which are so easy and comfortable to tape.

How to preserve and dye baby’s breath at the same time ✨

Step 1. Start with the freshest baby’s breath you can find. Fresh flowers give the best results.

Step 2. Trim the stems as short as possible.

Step 3. Mix 1 part glycerin with 3 parts warm water.

Step 4. Add your dye. You can use either food coloring or fabric dye. I personally prefer fabric dye because it gives a richer color and is much more affordable.

Step 5. Place the stems into the solution and leave them for 3 days.

Step 6. Remove the flowers, tie them into small bunches, and hang them upside down to dry. This allows the glycerin to distribute more evenly through the blooms, making them softer, fuller, and beautifully preserved.
