Some scars are more than scars.

They can change the way a person dresses, moves, looks at their own body, and sometimes even the way they feel around other people.

Cases like this are one of the most meaningful parts of my work.

We have already gone through several treatment sessions together, and the change in the skin is clear: the scars are softer, flatter, less visible, less dominant. But this is still an intermediate result. We are not finished yet.

And still, the biggest change is not what I see in the skin.

It is what I see in the patient.

More confidence. Less need to hide. Less fear that someone will notice. A stronger feeling of comfort in their own body. A little more freedom.

That is the part that cannot really be measured in millimeters or percentages.

Scar treatment is rarely one procedure and rarely one laser. It is a process. Different scars behave differently, and every patient needs their own combination of technologies, settings, timing and home care. This is why I build an individual protocol for every case instead of trying to fit everyone into the same treatment plan.

We still have work ahead of us, but I already love where this journey is going.

Because when the scar becomes quieter, the person often becomes stronger.

And for me, that is the real result.

CLINICAL VOLUNTEER WANTED

We are looking for one woman or man aged 48–58 to participate as a volunteer in a clinical protocol assessment focused on visible signs of facial photodamage.

The ideal candidate may have:
— uneven or superficial pigmentation
— fine lines
— rough or tired-looking skin texture
— an interest in improving the overall appearance and freshness of the skin

If this sounds like you, please send us three clear, recent photographs of your face via Instagram Direct: one from the front and one from each side, taken in natural daylight without makeup, filters or retouching.

If you know someone who may be interested, please share this post with them so they can contact us directly.

One suitable volunteer will be selected within one week. Participation is subject to an individual medical assessment, and submitting photographs does not guarantee selection or suitability for the procedure. All submitted information will be treated confidentially.

Just a reminder: treating periocular veins can be surprisingly quick and simple.

These small blue veins around the eyes may look like a difficult problem because of their delicate location, but with the right laser, precise parameters and proper eye protection, treatment can be very straightforward.

In many cases, the procedure itself takes only a few minutes, discomfort is minimal, and there is little to practically no downtime. Patients can usually return to normal daily life immediately.

And such a small change can make the whole eye area look noticeably fresher and less tired.

One of those procedures where precision matters much more than aggressiveness.

One day you suddenly realize that your little boy has stopped asking for help… and started offering it.

Moments like these remind me how quickly time flies. They also make me smile because it seems my children share my love for medicine. My older children have already chosen this path, and now my youngest is becoming curious too.

I can only hope they’ll stay in medicine, spend their lives helping people, and that the Uskov family’s medical legacy will continue for many generations to come ❤️

Even mature surgical scars can continue to improve.

One of the most common misconceptions I hear is: “My scar is already several years old, so nothing can be done.” In reality, scar remodeling is possible much longer than most people think.

These photos show the improvement of a mature breast surgery scar after treatment using my individualized laser protocol. The scar has become softer, flatter, less noticeable, and blends much more naturally with the surrounding skin.

There is no universal laser or single procedure that works for every scar. Each patient requires a carefully tailored combination of technologies, treatment parameters, and follow-up care. That individualized approach is often what makes the difference.

Scars tell a story—but they don’t have to define how you feel about your body.

Chickenpox scars don’t have to be permanent.

Many people are told that atrophic scars left after chickenpox are simply “part of the skin” and cannot be significantly improved. Fortunately, that is not always true.

These photos show the improvement after treatment using my individualized combination laser protocol. Every scar is different in depth, shape, and surrounding tissue, so there is no single laser or universal setting that works for everyone. The best results come from carefully combining different technologies and adjusting the treatment over time.

The goal is not only to soften the scar itself, but to restore a smoother skin surface so it becomes much less noticeable in everyday life.

This is another reminder that even long-standing facial scars can often be improved far more than most people expect.

Every treatment plan is tailored individually, because every scar has its own history.

Artificial intelligence is transforming medicine—but it also introduces new risks.

Today, creating convincing fake before-and-after photos is easier than ever. Images can be altered, details can be added or removed, and results that never existed can look completely real.

That doesn’t mean every result you see online is fake. But it does mean we should all become more critical.

When you’re choosing a doctor or clinic, don’t rely on photos alone. Ask to see videos of the results from different angles, in different lighting, or even during follow-up visits. Authentic clinical work is usually supported by more than a single perfectly edited image.

Trust should be built on transparency, consistency, and real evidence—not just impressive pictures.

AI is an incredible tool when used ethically. But when it comes to your health, healthy skepticism is just as important as technological progress.

Redness doesn’t have to be permanent.

Many people live with facial redness and visible blood vessels for years, assuming it’s simply “their skin.” In reality, in many cases these vessels can be treated safely and effectively with the right laser protocol.

This patient had a combination of diffuse redness and multiple superficial vessels across the cheeks and around the nose. Rather than treating everything aggressively in one session, we gradually reduced the vascular network using my individual multi-step protocol over several treatments.

The goal is not just to remove visible vessels, but to restore a calmer, more even complexion while preserving the skin’s natural appearance.

No dramatic downtime. No artificial look. Just healthier-looking skin that no longer draws attention because of persistent redness.

Every vascular pattern is different, which is why there is no universal setting or single laser that works for everyone. Careful assessment, appropriate laser selection, and patience between sessions are what make long-lasting results possible.

Sometimes the biggest transformation isn’t changing the face — it’s simply revealing the skin that was hidden beneath the redness.

Periorbital veins can be small, but once you notice them, they can be surprisingly difficult to ignore.

In this case, there was not just one visible vessel, but a small network of veins under the eye. The treatment had to be precise: this is a delicate area, the vessels differ in depth and diameter, and the skin around the eyes leaves very little room for an aggressive approach.

We used an individual laser protocol and treated the vessels gradually, without surgery and without a recovery period that would interrupt the patient’s normal routine.

The change is subtle, but it makes the whole area look cleaner and less tired. This is exactly the kind of result I like: nothing artificial, nothing overdone — simply removing a detail that was drawing attention for the wrong reason.

Periorbital vessels may look similar from the outside, but they do not all behave in the same way. The choice of laser, pulse duration, energy and treatment sequence has to be adapted to the specific vascular pattern of each patient.

Small area. Very precise work. And a result that changes the overall impression of the face.
